See this MSNBC interview with the late Matt Simmons:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sG0CqD5MHOo&feature=player_embedded

Important points to note:

1. all the oil coming out that killed th Gulf of Mexico ... as opposed to the open holes several miles away .... that is still spilling 120,000 barrels of oil per day ..

2. enough is eough... time for the Govt ....to stop BP's advertisment ...stop deceiving the people...

3. ..send a submarine down there to find the open hole....

4. ... sonar images of the BOP finally located and the pieces of the casing that appear to .. 5 stories ...

5. ... I am not sure why they have not made that public .....may be they were just confused ...and alarm people

6. ...BP is so certain it all is coming from the drilling riser...

7... oil coming out of this 6 or 7 inch annular could not cover the gulf of mexico with 400-500 ft of this toxic oil at the top...

8... re the open hole several miles away .....if they acknowledge it they go to jail..and their fortune will be over, so they can't, so they lie..

9...are you suggesting the government is complicit in facilitating a lie ......not intentionally, I think they were basically confused

BP insisted all the oil was coming out of the fracture in the riser.

Matt Simoms said this was BS. Oil out of 6 /7 inch riser could not fill up 400-500 ft of gulf surface. His estimate of 120,000 bpd was leaking out of the open hole.

Sonar survey finally located BOP with pieces of casing.....

If they had to survey to locate the BOP means the BOP was not where it was supposed to be at well A or the well they were drilling. It means it was blown off.

Pieces of casing .. up to 5 storeys high .....means it was a big big blowout.

If the BOP was blown apart and disconnected to the riser, how could oil still be gushing out of the riser? How could the riser feed the burning DWH with oil and gas to burn continuously for 2 days?

The answer is : In the first blowout, the BOP was still intact as shown by the famous ROV image hours after the blowout on 20 April 2010.

2 days later on the morning of 22 April 10, the second and much much bigger blowout (underwater explosion) occurred to send the BOP and casing flying. The explosion was so powerful, the effect was felt 50 miles away as recorded by the coastguard log - a big gas bubble near the base when they returned. After that 2nd blowout, DWH sank.

So to show that the oil was still coming out of the riser, BP reassembled the blown BOP onto Well A and reconnect the riser. All these were detailed out in my forensic analyses in the early articles in July and August 2010. Check them out.
