Crabs with what appear to be tumors or ulcers are being pulled up in the Gulf of Mexico, near Ocean Springs, Miss.
Today, Lorrie Williams posted on her Facebook wall pictures of a blue crab with what she says is an ulcer. The pictures were startling, and immediately drew numerous responses from friends. No one was shy about chiming in: indeed, since the "spill", Gulf marine life, like human life is clearly not the same here.
Williams tells the Examiner:
"We pulled it up in a crab pot this morning while crabbing. Yes, we are seeing more of them. No, we did not see them before the spill."
Williams, who developed lung polyps and pancreatitis and lost over 40 pounds after the 2010 catastrophe, said the crab pictures resemble those taken of her stomach.
