ISAAC is projected to go up the New Madrid Fault Line starting from the radioactive sink hole in Louisiana heading to the junction of the Mississippi, Ohio and Missouri rivers. That has never happened with any 'natural' hurricane before.

Note the strong water vapor pull and wind power being harnessed from the eastern side of ISAAC. That storm is becoming a monster in size, even for those of us here in Florida who are used to hurricanes.  ISAAC is neither 'typical' nor 'natural'.

Letter: Sinkhole shows neglect of DNR, DEQ

We have a great newspaper. Advocate reporter David Mitchell deserves an award and our thanks for his coverage about the Bayou Corne environmental problems that led to the Aug. 3 “sinkhole” and a near-disaster. If you missed Mitchell’s Aug. 9 front-page story titled “Dome issues kept quiet,” you must read it.

The timing could not be more amazing. Then the BPGOD was on going with so much uncertainty.

Were they actually drilling a test monitoring hole to monitor the effect of the nuke scheduled for blasting on 1 Aug 2010.

How long do they take to drill a test borehole? Did they really drill in Sept 2010, 5 months after the permit was issued or much earlier like in June or July 2010? If they discovered the breach in Sept 2010, why did they need more than 5 months to inform DNR on Jan 21, 2011, 3 days after the murder of Dr TB Manton?

Why did they need another 5 months to plug the well in June 2011?

A total of 15 months? Wow, no wonder US industry is losing out to foreign countries. It could be done in less than a month. The numbers do not add up, No Sir.

And if the well had failed the integrity tests and might have breached the outer wall, DNR still allowed Texas Brine to dispose radioactive waste into the cavern? No only are the numbers messed up, the DNR is screwed up.

A solicitation placed today at the Government marketplace shows that the Department of Homeland Security, via the Transportation Safety Administration has requested 700 pounds of High Density Ammonium Nitrate and 700 pounds of A-5 Flake RDX, with a delivery date by 31 August, 2012. That is less than 4 days before the start of the Democratic National Convention.

From their Statement of Work:

Name of Requisitioning Office: National Canine Program (NCP)/ Canine Explosives Section (CES)

SECTION II: Purpose

Scope of the Product, Service, or Outcome:

The CES requires the 700 pounds of High Density Ammonium Nitrate and 700 pounds of A-5 Flake RDX to provide Canine Explosive Training Aids (CETAs) to NCP participants. The supplier must be able to meet the exact requirements by August 31st, 2012. Substitutions for this product are not acceptable

SECTION III: Background

The CES is required to provide NCP participants with CETAs. The CES has selected to use High Density Ammonium Nitrate and A-5 Flake RDX as it will provide NCP participants with a more realistic training aid and compliment the current aids provided.

For the sake of argument, if a dog needed only 1 ounce of each material in order to be trained and tested, there is enough material for 11,200 dogs at the same time.

Extremists are ‘willing to use improvised incendiary devices or improvised explosive devices,’ according to a bulletin issued this week.

The FBI and Department of Homeland security say they have "high confidence" extremists are preparing to disrupt both the Republican National Convention, which is slated to open in Tampa this Monday, and the Democratic National Convention, which gets under way the following week in Charlotte, according to a joint intelligence bulletin issued Tuesday by the agencies.

"The most serious threat to persons and property during the conventions continues to emanate from anarchist extremists willing to use improvised incendiary devices (IIDs) or improvised explosive devices (IEDs)," the agencies wrote.

According to the bulletin, "anarchist extremists may travel from states outside of Florida and North Carolina to engage in criminal activity during the conventions."
