If you are still wondering on the connection between 

A) the recent spate of mysterious (methane) explosions, lowering or disappearance of groundwater, ground fissures (cracks) opening up for no "apparent reasons", sudden appearance of sink holes and bubbling gas, rumbling noises or tremors, blowouts from old abandoned wells, platform fires and 

B) the orchestrated BP Gulf Oilspill Disaster (BPGOD), 

look at the increased in intraplate seismic activities not only along the New Madrid Seismic Zone but the whole stretch of the North American Intraplate boundary (NAIB), the NE-SW axis of deformation east of the NAIB and the Eastern Continental shelf edge. The NAIB has been America's longest and largest open secret. All intraplate quakes in the Gulf (especially along the NAIB) had been deleted or non-available since the controversial 2006 Feb 10 M5.2 event with the epicentre near to BP Atlantis deep water production facility. The last retrievable EQ event was 7 months later with a magnitude of 5.8 on 2006 Sept 10. 

The Gulf has been strangely "QUIET" since then despite the increased in seismic activity on both sides of the NAIB. We believe the "blanking out of seismic activities within the Gulf" was deliberate to conceal the true extent of the environmental damage and tectonic imbalance caused by deliberate covert undersea / underground detonations set off with BP's assisted facilities.
