BP's permit to drill Macondo well was submitted to MMS on 10 March 2009

These videos talking about "something wicked (a depopulation event)" about to happen. Mexico was mentioned many times with reference to the Aztec human sacrifice. They were speculating on a volcanic eruption of some sort. Coincidentally the radio interviews were 20 and 28 of April 2009. So words must have leaked out but details were fuzzy; leaving room for a lot of speculation. Look for the keywords like mass destruction, vaccine, population reduction, mexico etc.

The Macondo well was destined to blow up in Nov 2009 but Hurricane Ida spoiled the plan. The April 2010 blowout event was a backup plan, a retry.

Came across this video on 9 June 2010. Why was there an urgent need to remove the company logo, when there were more urgent tasks like trying to stop the gushing oil? It must have been the world's most expensive cleaning job.

The Deepwater Horizon (DWH) blowout on the 20 April 2010, overshadowed earlier evidence that the Macondo well was destined to trigger a major disastrous event. On 15 July 2010, I was barred from a drilling website for innocently exchanging information on the mysterious BP massive shares sell-off by Tony Hayward. That further triggered my interest in the ensuing Gulf Disaster. I was told to follow the money. And if the money trail was right then, this was a disaster made to happen on purpose for economic windfalls. So far all the evidence that surfaced thereafter have substantiated instead of diminishing this theory. Is that why deep water exploration is so attractive because of the high cost and high risk?

In geohazards survey circles (despite the purpose of preventing hazards), there has always been suspicions that old vessels were deliberately operated until they sank for insurance compensation and other sinister purposes. See figure 156-1. These are small frauds involving a few millions dollars here and there. Where there are easy millions to be made, you can be sure of the frauds behind the schemes.

So could the Deepwater Horizon disaster be a multi-billion setup? Was the Transocean Marianas intended to go down at Macondo Well A in Nov 2009 instead of the DWH in 20 April 2010? Was the sinking of DWH a backup plan when Hurricane Ida rescued Transocean Marianas from its watery grave?

Tony Hayward sold off 1/4 of his BP shares holding prior to Marianas damage by Hurrican Ida

Tony Hayward sold off 220,000 shares at 587.5 p 10 days before the Transocean Marianas abandoned Well A on 9 Nov 2009 due to damages sustained by Hurricane Ida. One day after the pullout, Tony Hayward bought back the BP shares (56 lots) at a higher price of 595.2 p.

This is the similar pattern of massive sell-off (> 220,000 shares) only to buy back days later at smaller lots of 10- 90 shares; as if to cover their tracks of insider trading. That at least 4 BP directors sold and buy back in unison weeks before the 20 April 2010 blowout incident cannot be mere coincidence.

Now, recent researches by fellow gulf activists have confirmed what we have always feared. Are disasters being purposely perpetuated for monetary gains?

As oil prices shoot up (above $75/barrel) the costs of exploration, production and maintenance also increase. Unlike land-based Middle East low-cost production (less than $10/barrel), offshore production costs can range from $20 to $75/ barrel depending on the water depth and size of the fields. Deep water production costs are definitely higher; probably much higher than $80/barrel.

With a long gestation period of at least 2 years, hundreds of millions sank in for exploration costs, less than 60% chance of success and more hundreds of millions in engineering production costs, why would deep water oil exploration be economically attractive at all?

So let's take the case of Macondo prospect. The budgeted cost of drilling the first exploration well alone was 90 million USD. And it went over the budget; more than $100,000 million. Even if we assume the total cost of exploration to production to be just $500 million, at 200,000 bpd production rate and the price of oil at $100/barrel, it would have taken 25 years to payback just the high capital expenditure alone. This does not make sense for any investor.

Therefore we see oil field concessions being traded like commodity futures. It is a known fact that oil reserves can be manipulated for economic advantage. But is there an easier, faster and surer way of making a windfall, if not for oil company itself, at least for the elite insiders. All high cost offshore projects are heavily insured against Force Majeure. Thus, instead of gambling with 60% success rate and more than 3 years of production installation to reaping in the profit, disasters can be a good insurance pay off besides the windfalls to be reaped from the stock price fluctuation and the recovery operations as we have seen in the BP Mega Oil spew in the Gulf of Mexico.

It was recently brought to my attention that ENI rehired the Transocean Marianas to BP for drilling the Macondo well (Well A) in October – November 2009 at $446,000/day. ENI hired the Transocean Marianas at $565,000/day for a 2 year contract. Typical of offshore rig contracts reporting, the periods of hire and drilling were intentionally shifted by a couple months to protect market information.

But why would ENI rehire at a loss of $120,000/day to BP unless they too knew that the aging Marianas would not live out her 2 year contract period? Why hire the aging Marianas (1978) at $565,000/day when the state-of-the-art Deepwater Horizon rig (2000, $560 million) only cost $500,000/day? ENI's Saipem 10000 (1985, $400 million) which was capable of drilling in waters over 7,000 ft cost only $356,000/day.

Was ENI expecting a Force Majeure to profit from a quick insurance compensation? Was the Transocean Marianas saved from a disastrous blowout by Hurricane Ida? Now, that would be a coincidence would it?

Upcoming Rig Contract Commencements – 13 November 2009.

Two contracts are due to start before the end of the year. Eni will start drilling in the GOM with Transocean's Marianas semisubmersible Dec. 2, 2009. The NOC has contracted the rig for two years at $565,000/day. The Marianas is currently working at the Macondo Field at Mississippi Canyon Block 252 No. 1 for BP at $446,000/day.

The contract will terminate in Q3 2012. However, the Deepwater Pathfinder, an ultra-deepwater drillship, was contracted by ENI in 2008 for a start date in February 2010. The rig is contracted through 2015 at a dayrate of $650,000. This contract carries the highest dayrate on record that Eni has agreed to pay.

Just two weeks later, Eni will start the $650,000/day contract for Transocean's Deepwater Pathfinder. The drillship will drill for Eni in the GOM until Feb. 3, 2015. Currently the Deepwater Pathfinder is working for KNOC and Addax for $600,000/day off Sao Tome and Principe at Lemba 1X. The drillship then will work for Lukoil from Dec. 1, 2009 to Feb. 15, 2010 for $630,000 off Cote d'Ivoire before Eni starts its contract.

Unfortunately, deep water drilling comes with a price...

In 2007, Brazil reported the discovery of a massive offshore oil field. The Tupi discovery boosted Brazil's proven oil reserves more than 50%. But don't let this ultra-deep field's huge numbers fool you-it's going to take a lot of time and money to bring Tupi into production. In order to extract the oil, producers have to go through 7,000 feet of water, over 10,000 feet of sand and rocks as well as another 6,000 feet of salt. Nevertheless, Brazil's state-run oil company, Petrobras, is confident that Tupi could be producing one million barrels a day within 15 years. By that time, it might be a case of, "too little, too late."

Investing in Deep Water Drilling

The Tupi field is a perfect example of the kind of difficulties offshore producers face. The fact is that deep water projects can get extremely expensive. The day rate alone for renting a drilling rig during 2007 upwards of $500,000 or more! For investors, deep water oil drilling has opened the door wide open for oil service companies. Rig companies like Transocean (NYSE: RIG) have been making a killing off the rising demand for offshore drilling equipment.

The world gets its daily ration of 85 million barrels of oil from more than 4,000 fields. Most of these are small, less than 20,000 barrels per day. Giants, producing more than 100,000 bpd, account for just 3%. Then there's the megafields that gush out 1 million bpd. These are the most important sources of energy in the world--fields worth fighting over. In figuring the top 10 fields of the future, we're not interested in most of the giants of yesteryear, and not necessarily even the giants of today. Just the giants of tomorrow--those fields that might not even be producing yet, but will likely be doing better than 1 million bpd a decade from now.

The once and future king of the world's oil fields, Ghawar, in Saudi Arabia, ranks first on our list. It is thought to have had more than 100 billion barrels of recoverable oil in place. At 160 miles long and 16 miles wide it confounds even the most experienced geologists. With something on the order of 60 billion produced over the past 60 years, you'd be excused for thinking that Ghawar was sliding into its twilight years. Yet the Saudis insist that Ghawar is still going strong, producing 4.5 million bpd from six main producing areas with the ability to do 5 million bpd if called upon.

The first few obvious discrepancies to stick out like a sore thumb were the “2 major leaks on the riser” substitution for the real leaks on the seabed. These discrepancies were first raised in the forensic analysis of the Deepwater Horizon wreckage (DWH blowout CSI: Why-it-could-not-have-happened-as-reported-by-BP ) in July 2010.

In figure 157-1, these discrepancies are illustrated diagrammatically. BP's official story on the leaks on the riser are given in figures 157-2 and 157-3. Till this day, none of the main stream media had ever questioned the flaws in BP's story of the two leaks on the riser. One year later, we again bring up the discrepancies to illustrate the physical impossibilities.

To refresh readers, BP claimed that the BOP was largely intact and still standing after the DWH sank on 22 April 2010. The 5,000ft riser was bent but still connected to the BOP at well A. BP claimed that all the oil spilled into the gulf came from two leaks on the riser. The first (1) were several punctures sustained on the riser when it bent as the DWH sank. The second (2) and bigger leak was the severed end of the “riser” 480 ft north of well A. Rov videos and images of the second leak were shown first in early May 2010. The first leak (1) on top of the BOP was only shown weeks later.

Discrepancy #1

It is obvious that the severed casing at 2 had not been bent, twisted and broken off during the sinking of the DWH. If it was, the casing could not have maintained its almost circular shape. It appears more likely to have been either cut or torn-off as in “blown apart”. This itself rules out the severed casing being the mid section of the riser since there would not be any reason for the riser to be blown apart anywhere in its mid section.

Discrepancy #2

The diameter of the casing at 2 is evidently much larger than the diameter of the bent riser at 1. They do not appear to look the same at all. The casing at 2 appears more likely to be part of the casing coming directly out of the seabed than being connected to the riser coming from the top of the BOP.

Discrepancy #3

Assuming BP's official version, how can the second leak (480 ft away from the BOP) have a large volume of oil/gas flow than the first leak (1) directly on top of the BOP? If the oil and gas were flowing out of the same riser pipe, should not the first leak be the larger of the two?

Discrepancy #4

Leak (1) is about 70 ft above the seabed. Could oil and gas flow downwards past the punctured bend at 1 to reach the second leak 480 ft away at seabed level? If some oil and gas did leak through (1), then leak 2 should be spewing less oil and gas than leak (1) – see discrepancy #3. But even BP admitted leak 2 to be the large of the two.

Discrepancy #5

Leak 2 appeared in all videos and images to spew more oil than gas and with more ferocity than leak (1). How can that be when all the pressure would have leaked out at (1)?

Discrepancy #6

Well A and the BOP was south of the second leak location. So if well A was the source, the oil and gas would have flowed northwards. But in all the rov videos, the casing was coming out of the seabed from the north with the oil and gas flowing southwards. So where is the connection?

There are many more discrepancies but the few that I have listed above should be enough to completely refute the official version of 2 leaks on the riser coming out of the BOP at well A. For what reasons must BP lie so blatantly on the 2 leaks on the seabed?

To date, BP and its contractors have used more than 1.8 million gallons of Nalco Holding's chemical dispersants in the Gulf of Mexico in connection with the oil spill, according to the complaint. Nalco was also named in the complaint.

Lawyers said many plaintiffs, who were assisting in the effort to prevent oil slicks from reaching the shore, or cleaning oil spill residue from the beaches, came into contact with crude oil, chemical dispersants and other toxic chemical mixtures.

But is the industry truly ready to go back to work? A couple of points make one uncertain. For starters, assurances that BP was the only bad actor aren't good enough, and verge on the naïve -- all actors in the Gulf knew or should have known that any accident by anyone would affect all.

What about the spill containment equipment? As described, this is an impressive bit of work. Yet it also has a distinct political quality -- in order to get working again in the United States, the industry was forced to take such action; otherwise no one would be convinced it is serious about the environment. But we see no word of such equipment being deployed elsewhere in the deepwater world, such as in Angola, Brazil, Canada, Nigeria and Norway. Are we to believe that the Gulf of Mexico is the only place at risk of a big spill?

Truth will always prevail in time; the only problem is, “Can we afford the time?”. In the chaotic aftermath of any disaster, the baby (truth) sometimes get thrown out with the bath water. While it was obvious from the very start that so much oil could not have spewed out from only one well, BP was still very adamant that well A was only spewing 1,000 barrels of oil per day (bpd). Although the spew rate was later revised to 5,000 bpd then 20,000 bpd to as much as 75,000 bpd, a single well spewing double that amount still could not account for so much oil on the sea surface.

The late Matt Simmons was among the first to shout that oil could be spewing out of blown-out vents at the fault zones and the precarious edges of the many salt domes in the region. Though evidences had been forwarded in support of Matt Simmons' assertion, the official story of “only one well that blew and spewed” remains. One year later, our conviction that a lot more oil spewed out through the 3 wells drilled by BP, the open blown vents at the fault zones and the precarious edges of the salt domes is even stronger. One year later, we dig up evidences that had been overlooked by the mainstream, wrongly interpreted, simply ignored or lost in the information overload days following the disaster.

Figure 152-1 shows the odd shaped oil slick 3 days following the second and more powerful blast on 22 April 2010. This was reported by Mail Online in Visible from space, the giant oil slick oozing towards America's Gulf Coast on 28 April 2010.

The enormous spill, which was caused by the April 20 explosion and subsequent sinking of the Deepwater Horizon drilling platform, is now around 48 miles long and 80 miles wide. It is believed to be around 600 miles in circumference. Meanwhile, the glistening sheen of sweet crude continued to grow and began forming long reddish-orange ribbons of oil that, if they wash up on shore, could cover birds, white sand beaches and marsh grasses.

The spill covered an expanding area about 48 miles long and 80 miles wide, but with uneven borders, making it roughly 3,840 square miles. If the well cannot be closed, almost 100,000 barrels of oil, or 4.2 million gallons, could spill into the Gulf before crews can drill a relief well to alleviate the pressure. By comparison, the Exxon Valdez, the worst oil spill in US history, leaked 11 million gallons into Alaska's Prince William Sound in 1989.

The company said it would begin the drilling by tomorrow even if crews could shut off oil leaking from the pipe 5,000 feet underground. Robot subs have tried to activate a shut-off device, but so far that has not worked. Company spokesman Robert Wine said the drilling would take up to three months and be done from a rig now in place near where the Deepwater Horizon sank. Louisiana-based BP spokesman Neil Chapman said 49 vessels - oil skimmers, tugboats barges and special recovery boats that separate oil from water - were working to round up oil.

Theoretically, a low surface current of 1 knots would need less 3 days to push the elongated slick 50 km north-east from the Macondo wells (see figure 152-2). It is however, harder to explain the odd-jagged shape slick pattern that seemed to hover above the nearby salt domes and shelf edges. Although periodic changes in surface currents could produce step-like long narrow streaks of oil, there is a problem in explaining how a 10-25 km saw-tooth swathe slick could be pushed by surface currents alone. Also the Macondo Well A location sits at the south-western edge of the continuous giant slick. No matter how strong the surface currents, it was impossible to sweep clean any slick south-west of well A. Clearly the surface currents had no part in the odd-shaped giant oil slick.

The odd-shape oil slick would however, fit in nicely with the faults and salt dome occurrences if the oil had spew through them as Matt Simmons had asserted almost a year ago. See figure 145-1 which shows the major fault lines and the earlier observed oil slicks compiled in October 2010. The figures and oil slick pattern speak for themselves.

So did all the oil in the gulf really spew out of only one well as officially promulgated. Judge for yourself who has been lying?

BP investors who have watched the company lose a quarter of its market value, or some $55 billion, in the past 12 months and lost their dividend payments are ready to put the company on the spot.

First of all the relief wells were unable to "bottom kill" or seal the real gusher (3^rd well) at 18000ft below mudline. They could stop it momentarily but like applying band-aid to a high-pressured leaking hose, it comes off easily after a short while.

Much of the damage was done during the drilling itself. Shell had a blowout in the North Sea four months earlier (also on a Transocean rig) but could contain it even with all the accidental and random failures found at DWH. The high risk of capping bps gushing well from the top

There is a special geohazards condition which I termed it – Gas-saturated Weak SubFormation (GWSF) zone. Even if the blow-out does not occur during drilling, the potent mix of gas and brine causes havoc in the vicinity of the well bore and will prevent the well-bore annulus from being cemented and sealed fast to the formation walls. Thus a blow-out is imminent even after the well is completed, sometimes years later as in Shell Barton BT5 in 1990, Sabah offshore Malaysia. For the cement to hold and prevent hydraulic connections, the cement needs to set and bind completely with the formation walls. But with a gas-saturated weak formation especially in the sub-formation zone, the overlying sediment are not rock solid and prone to sub-seabed erosion and slow transport of sediment out into the water column above. The emphasis is on this top sub-formation zone because of the possible gas escape routes to the water column. It would be fine if the original gas accumulation depletes itself. But large and significant accumulation of gases generally mean inexhaustible supply via permeable deep-seated faults. In Macondo's case, the permeable adjacent of the salt intrusion, an Allochthonous Salt structure (see figures 150-1) added to the wells' nightmares.

If this top hole section cannot be secured, leaking problems can still develop years later, even after the well is long abandoned; depending on the rate of sub-seabed erosion. Most of the leaks in the old abandoned wells would have been rejuvenated by the abnormal quake swarms after months of gas and oil spewing out of the 3^rd Macondo well until about mid-Sept 2010. As erosion progressively removes disintegrated sediment particles, porosity increases with mass depletion.

The fearsome scenario of a giant oil batholith swelling up the whole sea floor and exploding like an undersea magma volcano generating tsunami has no sound geological basis (figures 150-2a & 150-3). It was conjured up and propagated by pro-BP advocates to scare the public into surrendering their demands for justification and transparency, in return for BP to save them from such a nightmarish scenario. One of NOAA video on an undersea volcanic eruption was widely displayed in June 2010 to demonstrate the possibility of such a destructive scenario. Anyone watching the submarine volcanic eruption would assume it occurred in the Gulf of Mexico. It was not.

That volcanic eruption was close to an active plate margin within the Pacific Ring of Fire, in the South Pacific 140 miles SW of Samoa. Its tectonic setting is nowhere similar to the Gulf of Mexico, a more stable intra-plate tectonic zone. The mechanism of a Mud Volcano is a world of a difference from the Magma Volcano. Whose idea was it to show a volcanic eruption to illustrate what was happening with the Macondo mud volcano in the Gulf? NOAA label was flashed in the brief video of the eruption with no explanation. Apparently the video which also appeared under Discovery news was released from high level sources. It is unbelievable that the high level sources could not differentiate between a magma and a mud volcano. Was this technical deception planned as early as 2009?

Was a scarier eruptive scenario deliberately fed to the public, so that when the worst such as massive eruptions, seafloor collapse and giant tsunami did not come to pass, any notion of population reduction conspiracy or planned disasters for profit could be shot down readily by BP's cyber mercenaries?

Granted the industry's professionals are contractually obligated to keep their silence. But why are gulf truth advocates with claims to insiders' information keeping their silence on this clear deception since June 2010? Surely an ex-oilfield executive with a 25-year successful career, who claims to be a self-funded independent researcher and having spent more than 7 months researching on Project Gulf Disaster could not have overlooked this and other blatant fallacies of the Gulf Disaster?

Yet the one exposing at least 20 such distorted truths on the gulf disaster be accused of being on BP's payroll, misleading the public, controlling the opposition (gulf activism) and preventing his brand of truth from reaching a wider audience? What good would an ex-oilfield executive truth advocate be, if he is so willfully ignorant of all the facts and only regurgitating what is already publicly known and promulgated by the main stream media?

Instead of endless supply of oil, gas and mud with expanding and swelling seabed due to increasing pressure, the reverse is true. Like popping a champagne bottle, the initial burst is at the highest pressure. What or where is the source of increasing pressure? It is such simple fundamental question that guides us through a minefield of geophysical impossibilities on the path of Truth Reporting. If companies are not required by law to have their accounts audited by registered accountants, would major corporations be responsible enough to declare their profits truthfully?

Thus a mass depletion model, whereby the eroded sediment are continuously transported by the escaping corrosive fluid (gas-brine mix) through the fractured or faulted pathways, is more plausible than the “oil batholith-volcanic eruption model” initiated by BP. Who else could and would spend millions of dollars promulgating such horse-@!$%#?

The presence of extensive methane hydrate within the Quaternary sediment of the Gulf increases the rate of mass depletion. The escaping gas and brine create new pathways to the seabed. Hot oil from the reservoir follows and get trapped at the sub-formation zones, beneath the Quaternary deposits with the stable hydrates. Warmed-up hydrates vaporise into gaseous methane which in turn provide endless supply of gas, and together with brine, further erode and increase the permeability of these new pathways to the seabed. Shale and mudstone beds which are normally impermeable to either gas or oil, easily disintegrated on contact with fluid consisting of gas and brine (technical publication in prep).

Eventually, with higher permeability and porosity the oil seeps higher and closer into the seabed. The proliferation does not spread uniformly in radial pattern. For obvious reasons, the erosion process proliferates preferentially along the major fault lines and at the edges of the salt structures and the continental shelf edges.

Follow the faults and canyons radiating from the Macondo prospect and you will find the gas seepage and oil accumulation beneath the Quaternary beds. So Matt Simmons' assertion that there were major gas and oil leaks 7 miles from the Macondo wells was not far-fetched after all. Our observations showed that all the 3 drilling rigs ( DD2, DD3 and DE) had spent considerable period of time at the shelf-edges of the Salt domes / Continental slopes. Why?

With no ROV videos we can only speculate but then there were not too many options for BP. Either they were drilling shallow wells to grout the growing fractures in the faults and precarious edges of the salt domes or were fanatically pumping in even more dispersant so that the leaking oil would stay submerged. A sea of floating oil in the vicinity of the Macondo wells would definitely not look good. No matter how much PR cosmetics were applied, a massive oil slick would be highly unconvincing of a permanently sealed well.

BP had hoped that by grouting the fissures, vents and faults around the Macondo wells, the still escaping oil and gas would disperse far and wide beneath the seafloor, far enough to absolve further blame of future oil spills such as the one observed on 18 March 2011.

Though fully aware of the sub-seabed erosion process, BP reckoned it would take more than a few years before sufficient oil could accumulate at shallow depths to pose a problem. By then the Macondo Blowout would be a distant memory. It would be too absurd in the minds of the innocent Public, to connect any new oil spills to the disastrous Macondo blowout. But BP probably underestimated the abnormal rapid rate of sub-seabed erosion aided by the endless supply of methane gas from the extensive occurrence of hydrates and the effect of the mass depletion (vaporisation, disintegration of the clayey beds containing the hydrates sediment structure and erosion/transportion of the disintegrated clay sediment).

Worse. Many of the major deep-seated faults cut through other oil reservoirs which might have been indiscriminately damaged from the thousands of wells drilled in the last decade. Many of these faults were already leaking or on the verge of leaking. The recent quake swarms, though small in magnitude are shallow and quite effective in hastening the sub-seafloor erosion process. Once leakage to the many marginal uneconomic reservoirs are established more light crude migrate to the shallower sub-seabed zones. The new shallow oil accumulation need not necessarily originate from the Macondo prospect.

An example of this effect is demonstrated by the observed large gas bubble near at the coastguard base in Louisiana on 22 April 2010, the day of the second underwater explosion which brought down the Deepwater Horizon. The huge gas release occurred due to the vibration of the second explosion which fractured the overburden sediment capping an existing shallow gas accumulation 40 miles away. The NW-SE fault zones passing through the Macondo prospect to the coastguard base, facilitated the transmission of pressure pulses, just like any hydraulic system used in our machines.

The Stage Is Set and Nature refuses to play ball.

As more oil from the reservoir seeps to the sub-formation, more hydrates in the stable zone vaporised and caused even more erosion over a wider area. Unlike gas, oil can only migrate through the more permeable pathways and accumulate at the more porous and sandy beds. Any oil seepage by its natural pressure would mean near-saturation in oil bearing capacity of the shallow emplacement (high porosity sand, turbidites and deltaic formation intercepted by the highly fractured eroded faulted pathways). Continual or periodic oil seeps start the accumulated differential pressure is sufficiently high to overcome the combine weight (pressure) of the overburden and water column. Alternatively, the buried oil accumulation can be released through a major tectonic event since Quaternary sediment are quite fragile and easily fractured once the corrosive gas and brine erosion processes had taken their toll.

If the 9.0 mag quake in Japan had occurred months earlier, the new shallow oil emplacement would have been insufficient to cause such a large area of oil slick. To refute arguments that these shallow oil emplacement existed before the 20 April 2010 blowout, there was no report of widespread oil slick following the 24 Dec 2004 Sumatra (9.0), 12 Jan 2010 Haiti (7.0) and 27 Feb 2010 Chile (8.8) quakes.

By the time of the 4 Sept Canterbury (7.1) NZ, 29 Sept Papua Indonesia (7.2), 21 Dec Bonin Islands Japan (7.4) and 25Dec Vanuatu, S Pacific (7.3) quakes occurred, the gulf waters were again sufficiently clear of surface oil (oil dispersed and submerged) for any new oil slick to be noticed. Again none was reported. The recent 18 Feb 2011 quake off Fort Morgan Alabama (3.5 mag) was probably too weak and too far NE from the main erosion and migration oil pathways (the fault zones striking through Louisiana) to trigger any substantial release of oil into the water column.

By the beginning of this year, tar balls (nickel to palm size) and dollar-sized sandy patches of oil were reportedly washing up in Grand Isle and Louisiana coast to Alabama beaches at Fort Morgon. Towards the end of March 2011, there had been increasing reports of new oil related sightings at the beaches of Louisiana. These are significant evidences of periodic or regular oil seeps coming out of the seabed, not from a single point oil spill (some fundamental reasons in part 2 of this article). It also means the oil migration pathways were filled to the brim and ripe for major simultaneous releases on a tectonic trigger with a much lowered threshold.

The mayor's office said tar balls are coming ashore on Elmer's Island and sand dollar-sized patches of oil are washing up in Grand Isle. The environmental group Louisiana Bucket Brigade said it was the worst instance of oil contamination since the BP oil spill.

4 Jan 2011 Gulf Oil Spill Tarballs Continue To Wash Ashore On Fort Morgan, Alabama Beach

BP cleanup crews returned to work Monday after a 10 day break, WKRG reports, and they seem to have their work more than cut out for them. Tarballs have been washing up all along the shores of Alabama's Fort Morgan beach.

According to the Press-Register, they range in size from as small as a nickel to as large as a person's palm. The tarballs are so plentiful on the beach that they are seldom more than an inch apart from each other on shore.

Emulsified oil, oil mousse and tar balls from an unknown source have been washing up on beaches from Grand Isle to West Timbalier Island along the Gulf of Mexico, a stretch of about 30 miles, a Louisiana official said. It was still heading west Monday afternoon.

The Macondo prospect is located approximately at the pivoting point of the intra-plate movement. The red and black dotted lines represent discernible faults obscured by the Quaternary sediment cover. Fundamental geotechnical principles dictate that there should be stress-induced faults and the step-like breaks at the shelf edge are give-away indications. Competent geologists from the oil companies would have noticed the fragility of the Salt-geology tectonic system. Exploration objectives however overrode geohazards concerns and environmental implications in the event of a disaster. It still is today.

The events unfolding from this mega-disaster confirm what geohazards experts had known and feared all along. Environmental and Safety concerns by oil companies are horse-@!$%# for public consumptions only. What goes behind boardroom meetings is just the exact opposite.

Like a loaded spring, shallow quakes occurred in response to tensional releases following the prolonged erosion processes of uncontrolled oil and gas flows. Shallow quakes occur due to differential tensional forces caused by higher resistance at the generally younger Miocene formation and above. The shallow quakes also rejuvenated old fault lines and spread the sub-erosion process even wider. As the cycle repeats itself, leaks from abandoned wells and uneconomical-spent out reservoirs rejuvenated and accelerated along the weakened fault zones and precarious edges of the salt domes.

Yes BP underestimated the connected relationship between hydrates, faults, Quaternary Sediment and shallow earthquakes. The erosion rates were several factors faster than they had anticipated. Even before the 9.0 mag earthquake in Japan on 11 March 2011, scientists and research workers were already finding oily sediment buried beneath the seabed. We will come to this in part 2. Just 34 minutes after the giant quake, groundwater levels in South Florida fluctuate up to 3 inches for 2 hours (JapaneseQuake stirred Florida). P waves travelled through the earth at a much faster speed.

New 10 x 100 miles oil spill spotted after Japanese 9.0 mag Earthquake.

Independent pilots, including John Wathen of the Waterkeeper Alliance, and Bonnie Schumaker with Wings of Care, are currently flying out to investigate the spill. Schumaker reports having seen the sheen on Friday, March 18, and confirms that it is rapidly expanding. A Louisiana fisherman, who has chosen to remain anonymous at this time, also reports fresh oil coming ashore near South Pass, LA, and that cleanup crews are laying new boom near the beach.

Initially the new oil spill was suspected to have come from the Matterhorn field operated by W&T Technology using the production rig, Matterhorn Seastar. The oil was suspected to have come from a leak in the producing well. The Matterhorn field is located approximately 20 miles north of the Deepwater Horizon rig.

A couple of days later, a Houston-based oil company came forward to accept responsibility for the mysterious spill near Grand Isle, although it says it remains "surprised" that what it thought was a minor discharge from a long dormant well could have produced miles-long slicks. The company said it had reconnected the wellhead structure Tuesday (22 March 2011) morning and fully shut it in by 8:30 p.m. The amount spilled was estimated to be less than 5 gallons.

This is probably the case of a convenient scapegoat who happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Even if the company had underestimated the amount spilled, the accidental spill which was reportedly noted over the weekend (19 / 20 March) could not account for the 10x100 miles sheen reported on 18 March. The Matterhorn Seastar did not report any spill. As a fully operational production rig, any spill would be an immediate concern. So unless the crews were sleeping on their job, they would have alerted the coast guards as soon as the oil sheen reached visible size like 1 to 2 miles diameters. I do not think American oil workers could be that slack, not to notice until it was over 100 miles long. Elementary, Watson!

Anglo-Suisse Offshore Partners was caught in the act of an accidental spill but the timing and the amount spilled from a dead well could not account for the instantaneous sighting and extent of the observed spill; certainly not the tar-balls. Probably guilty of not reporting previous accidental spills, the guilty-conscious party jumped to admit responsibility. But are we truly happy with napping any culprit without ever knowing the true cause. Is justice truly served when the wrong corporation ends up taking the tab? Could Justice in America have sunk to the level of dictatorial 3^rd world countries where an innocent can be sent to the gallow for justice to be seen to have been done? Surely not.

Assuming 1 barrel of oil (US) to 42 US gallons conversion; 1000 sq miles with 50% void and 100 microns thick slick, it would mean a leak of 814,574 barrels of oil in 3 days or 271,000 barrels per day. Even if we employ the ridiculous 2 microns thick slick, the total amount of oil leaked was still an enormous 16,291 barrels of oil. Could a “dead well” have leaked that much oil?

So even if the oil sightings had been exaggerated, say only 1x10 mile sheen, that would still mean the dead well had leaked a total of 8,146 barrels (at 100 microns thick slick). With such a fantastic production rate from a “dead well”, why was it dead in the first place and why would America need to import oil at all? For comparison, the Macondo well was initially reported to be gushing at only 5,000 barrels/day. Later it was revised to between 50,000 to 100,000 barrels/day. How many days did it take to reach the shores of Louisiana? Another clear example of Physics Of Impossibilities?

Even with a surface current of 3 knots (calm sea state is max 1 knot), it would have taken the oil 10 hours to reach the coast of Louisiana, 30 miles away. The company reported their crews have been monitoring the site since September and did not report any oil discharge until the end of last week. Even if the leak started on 18 March (Friday) the oil could not have been sighted simultaneously at the coast, 30 miles away. It would certainly take more than 30 hours for the oil leaking out from a single point to stretch 100 miles even assuming the volume and rate of leak can be justified. So either everyone is lying, exaggerating or the observed facts does not fit any one single source of leak. Simple logic dictates that there must have been simultaneous releases of oil spread over 100 miles rather than a single source. The long trauma of BP's mega oil spill had obviously taken a toll on rationality. Widely perceived to be inapt in handling the BP mega-oil spill, officials are quick to act and will grasp any illogical explanation, as if to compensate for past mistakes. Poor Anglo-Suisse!

But how could multiple oil releases be coordinated across 100 miles of ocean? Obviously the NW-SE fault zones played an important role in accumulating the shallow oil emplacement waiting to be triggered by an abnormal tectonic event. It is no coincidence the new oil spill was noticed just days after the 11 March11 Japan Earthquake.

What I have shown are simple basic quantitative estimates? Even if we reduced the 10x100 miles oil slick to just 1 sq mile, the leak from a single has to be staggering. Still physically impossible. Just because most of the oil exploration activities are offshore away from public scrutiny, many who were in charge of documentation thought they could easily fudge the data, dates, quantities etc mostly to cheat on time or to cover data which they had overlooked or had not acquired. There are plenty of examples. Just as the accumulated shallow oil will again be released by another quake, these data frauds and cheating will one day come back to bite us.

My purpose is not to ridicule but to illustrate a sleeping giant oil industry heavily intoxicated with high oil prices and greed. The bottom-line matters and corporate America is too high brow and too blind to see simple solutions and preventive measures at hand. Why would I risk my professional reputation in coming out with a qualitative geological model in late July 2010? Reading geohazardous conditions is not so difficult. It is the oil companies that are bullheaded in sidelining sound geohazards' advice and assessment. Even without detailed seismic data, a relatively accurate and reliable model can be estimated. The qualitative model turns out to be the most accurate todate – see figure 150-1.

Drilling risks can be assessed and minimised. Risk assessment is basically elimination of possibilities using quantitative estimates whenever possible. Geohazards prediction is not hoco-pocus, black magic art or voodoo science. The recent Japan Nuclear disaster could have easily been averted by locating all their nuclear plants on the north-western coasts, and not at the south-eastern coastline facing the greatest Tsunami threats. A quick look at the volcanic arc would show that locating a nuclear plant near to Sendai would be committing HaraKiri (excuse the term) if a mega quake were to occur.

Grossly expensive and grandiose schemes always proceed at bullet-train speed in their haste to beat the dateline and budget. Simple, logical and fundamental considerations get lost in the express-train schedule. With this Just-In-Time Business model, sadly the whole world is rushing towards another disaster......sigh!

Part 2 - Mystery of the recent fish kills, mass bird deaths and other consequences of BP's Macondo BLOWOUT

Almost two weeks ago, the company released its technical forensic report, which primarily blamed the BOP failure on an unanticipated bowing of the drill pipe that ran from the rig above, through the BOP and into the seafloor. The 5.5-inch drill pipe is believed to be the only path through which oil and natural gas initially began spewing last April 20.

Former Sen. Stevens knew BP was cheating on BOP tests. Could he have been whacked because what he knew ties directly into the Gulf oil disaster?

 The 48-year-old veteran oil worker claims that in the oil industry, particularly at BP, "the culture is basically safety procedures are shoved down your throat and then they look the other way when it's convenient for them." He claims that oil operators often wouldn't report spills and that when he spilled chemical fluid in 2003, he was told by his superiors not to report it. Mason, who now runs a small operation hauling freight in the Alaskan bush and owns guest cabins, says he was fired by a drilling company in 2006 after he wrote a letter to the editor of the Anchorage Daily News to condemn the firm for incorporating overseas and thereby avoiding taxes.

Mason and another oil worker provided sworn statements in a 2003 lawsuit that rig supervisors "routinely falsified reports to show equipment designed to prevent blowouts was passing state-mandated performance tests," reported the Wall Street Journal in 2005.

According to reports late last night in the Financial Times, Hayward has been involved in discussions about the launch of an investment fund with Nat Rothschild, the well-regarded financier.  Rothschild already runs a London-listed natural resources acquisition vehicle fund, Vallar, which has opened up 2.8% on the day at 1321p.

Transocean Ltd., owner of the Deepwater Horizon oil rig, awarded millions of dollars in bonuses to its executives after "the best year in safety performance in our company's history," according to an annual report and proxy statement released yesterday.

I vomited when I read this paragraph:
"As measured by these standards, we recorded the best year in safety performance in our Company's history, which is a reflection on our commitment to achieving an incident free environment, all the time, everywhere."

What about the month long drilling problem with the Transocean Marianas at well A of the Macondo prospects 6 months before the DWH?

By now it is very clear Thad Daly is not who he claims to be. He had claimed to be a mechanical engineer, fluid engineer and a drilling engineer at different times. Yet discrepancies in his biodata showed he could not possibly be any one of these professional. Chances are he is an out of work rigger, now working as a planted mole on cyberspace. I don't mean to be rude but this arrogant “pro-of-the-wrong-kind” needs to be shown what a jerk he is for going around hounding and belittling fellow bloggers genuinely concerned with the gulf disaster. Seek the proofs from BP. They have all the unadulterated and unscrambled video, not me or anyone else outside BP. We do not need another BP's schill to muddle the truth.

Thus to interpret the ancient Egyptian artifacts and graphic writings, you need to understand and be well versed with not just any archaeological knowledge but those related to ancient Egypt. To interpret geological features you need to be trained as a geologist first. Then only can you interpret seismic sections, aerial photographs, satellite images, side scan sonar, MBES, well logs etc into geologically sound representation of the true or natural geology. Geohazards is a special field where in addition to natural geological features and processes, man-made processes and features are analysed as well. Exploration and geohazards may share fundamental geophysics, but their approach and objectives are different.

A damn good geologist does not necessary be good in geohazards analyses and prediction. You only have to read my past papers, site / blowout/incidences investigation reports and QC reports of the last 30 years to see the alarming number of ridiculous mis-interpretation made even by experienced leading geohazards experts working with the world's largest geohazards survey company. Put in simple terms, predicting geohazards accurately and reliably does not depend on the size of your wallet or the company. Very often, the naïve oil companies are impressed by the size of their airguns, length of their vessels, number of offices around the world etc when these meant little in determining the truth of the matter so that a reliable geohazards assessment and prediction can be made.

If so many well-trained, highly paid geologists can and had failed in geohazards interpretation and prediction, what makes you think a rigger with a bogus college degree and pretending to be an drilling/fluid/mechanical (choose one) engineer can succeed? So what takes you so long to realise that the key word is interpretation. Next you are gong to say it is a matter of interpretation. Yes, I have heard that countless times before, especially when the interpreter is wrong. The accuracy and reliability of your interpretation depends a lot on your technical background. A pseudo engineer is no geologist or geophysicist. So stop pretending you can assess and interpret geohazards risks or anything outside the well-bore. You are not cut out for it. Your imbecility knows no bounds and the following answers will show you why.

Aerial photograph recon is totally different from rov photo interpretation in so many aspects. You must be a real retard to say that height or depth does not matter. It does. There is a tremendous difference in pressure, penetration of light, scale of things, density, flow of media, etc etc.

Only a fool would think interpretating an aerial photograph with a 1:10,000 scale taken from 10,000 ft is the same as looking at a limited camera viewport with 1:100 scale taken from tens of metres. If you think a hole on the ground from 10000ft in the air looks the same through an rov camera 5,000 ft below MSL, then your mind has already been screwed.

Am I supposed to be impressed with your training credentials? Aerial photo interpretation is part of our geology curriculum. It is irrelevant to what we are discussing.

Thad Daly says: As you can not reach through the ROV vids and collect bottom sample or cut a core your "specil knowledge" is only academic. What is being view and interpretated is physical objects and you can only see the outer surfaces of any objects or bottom structures.

Have you ever told a major oil company like Shell in an emergency boardroom meeting with all the heads of departments, that the piece of “natural rock” shown in the rov video near the BT-05 blowout platform, was not what it was, but a piece of the cemented seafloor blown off by the blowout. Have you ever proven 20 senior Shell managers (engineers, drillers, geo, etc) wrong? They had all agreed to shut down the Barton A platform following the blowout, after watching the frightening rov videos of collapsing seafloor, cracks and craters on the seafloor spewing columns of gas. They were all convinced by the rov video of an imminent collapse. I watched the same videos at the same time and came out with a totally different view. That my friend is the difference between a geohazards specialist and the exploration experts. That platform is still standing today after 20 years.

Have you ever been given “needle in a haystack” search missions and found them all; 1988 BP – lost well heads, 2004 Shell, buried well head 5 m, 2005 Shell lost and abandoned pipelines (24 from 8 charted ones), 2008 Otto Energy – lost piles and mooring chains, 2008 – undetected fibre optic cables etc. Many of them proven with recovery, lost records, rov video etc. Of course I do not expect you to understand the implications of all these.

I have saved many oil companies millions of dollars by sticking out my neck to prove many times, the conventional interpretation or accepted status quo were wrong. There were times where my geohazards assessments went against the wishes of the oil companies. They looked for subservient geohazards “pro-of-the-wrong-kind” for second opinions favourable to their exploration objectives. Guess what. They all ended having blowouts and needed me to set them straight. We need professionals who are able to stand straight and not bend to the whims and fancies of the oil exploration masters. We see that in Halliburton and BP. Yes, you can cry out and say we recommended this and that, but BP had the final say. Did we see any of the engineers resigned in disgust? No because BP got their way, safe or not safe does not matter. And we have people like you still prostituting for BP.

So did you just said my skills were “academic” and not proven? Do you see why the mafia in the oil industry wants to “kill me”? Because I was right and they were wrong and as long as I live, they live in fear that their misdeeds, cheating, frauds, mis-interpretation and negligence will be exposed. Thad Daly says: You claim cracks in the bottom, could this be drag marks from moving debris, equipment or other item around when working on th well head.

Are you suggesting I made the interpretations using my behind? Drag marks have different fundamental characteristics than cracks. As an engineer you should know that. Oh I forgot you were only a pseudo engineer. I would not bother writing an article on insignificant drag marks would I? Fissures that had developed on the seafloor due to the blowout, that I would write. Just to be sure, are you reading the right articles written by me? Could you quote the exact “you claim cracks in the bottom” paragraph or the link. Given your poor comprehension, one cannot be too sure.

For your information, I spent more than 20 years working 16 hours a day charting and had clocked more than 20,000 line km of seabed survey. I can differentiate between a drag mark and a “fissure” based on fundamental criteria that I taught my trainee geos. No, I am not going to tutor you for free. Would I risk 30 years of my expertise on something I am not sure?

Thad Daly says: You claim methane vents yet when BP tried to cap the well first time the cap filled with methane hydrates, why are these methane vent not turning into methane hydrate?

I would not bothered to answer this. You read my articles and then look basic chemistry literature on methane gas-hydrate conversion.

Thad Daly says: The collasped - there is basically three ways to collapse casing. Bend causing it to kink at bend. External pressure greater than the collaspe stength of the casing AND the internal hydrostatic pressure in the casing this would only happen if the casing was ran in empty, hard to do as at some point the empty casing would "float" in the drlg fluid. Mechanical collaspe due to an external mechanical pressure such as a formation shift, not possible as the upper sedimentary formation do not have compressive strengths greater than the collaspe strength of the casing especially with the internal hydrostatic pressure increasing the collaspe resistance.

Already explained in my articles. Look for GWSF (gas-saturated weak sub-formation) zone hazards and EGCP zone.

Thad Daly says: Casing can and does collapse and the indentation are symetrical elongated oval in shape not the irregular markings shown in the vid.

There is no point arguing with you over this. BP retrieved this casing on 19 July 2010 from the 3^rd well which was blown on 20 April 2010. Go and ask BP to show you the recovered casing. They were caught with their pants down. If your eyes are blinded by their greenbacks pasted over your eyes, what is the point of this academic theoretic discussion on how smooth and oval the @!$%# is going to be. Write a letter to your congressman to demand BP hand over the indented casing. Then you have your proof. Why bark at me? I did not retrieved the broken casing. Why was the video hidden? Because the insiders wanted the public to know what BP did was criminal. They smuggled it out despite the tight security. Why do you still prostitute yourself at the expense of the gulf victims? Do some good for a change.

A Plea Bargain is only an arrangement between prosecutor and defendant whereby the defendant pleads guilty to a lesser charge in the expectation of leniency. It does not prove guilt beyond doubt. By accepting a plea bargain on 21 May 2010, Dr Thomas B Manton sacrificed proving his innocence in a lengthy trial in exchange for a speedy settlement so that he could get down to the business of helping the Gulf Victims and containing the mega oil spill. Frauds are like imitation products. They all fail under scrutiny. A planned disaster like Project Gulf Disaster could not duplicate the accidental nature of events leading to an accidental disaster. Many illogical events, infractions, safety lapses, improprieties, wrong decisions and other idiocies etc, were ignored and falsely reported. Just as logical reasoning first suggested that the BP's Mega Oil Spill disaster was a disaster made to happen, Manton's possession of child-porn files charge has all the evidences of a set up. His conviction will be proven to be false if the case is re-investigated fairly and professionally. OCEAN SPRINGS, Miss. (AP) - A former Ocean Springs police officer who was arrested in November on a child pornography offense has been arrested again, this time on a cyber stalking charge. Jackson County Sheriff Mike Byrd says 45-year-old Lee John Leonard was arrested late Thursday. A complaint was filed Feb. 19 by a woman who said Leonard was harassing her on a social networking website. Byrd says Leonard was not supposed to be using a computer, under the conditions of his bond on the child pornography charge. In that case, Leonard is accused of downloading child pornography to his police-issued laptop computer.

Watts, 55, was arrested soon after sharing more than 1,000 explicit images of underage boys with the ICE agent. Authorities uncovered additional illegal images on his personal computer after executing a search warrant of his Kingston home. The veteran teacher came to law enforcement's attention during an investigation of the "Boylover" pedophile community, the affidavit states. A cooperating source told investigators the science instructor had swapped child porn with two longtime members of the online community.

After communicating via e-mail, the undercover agent met with Watts on Jan. 29 at a Cartersville restaurant, according to the affidavit. They then drove to the teacher's residence, where "the conversation centered on kids sports and their interest in children." According to the sworn statement, Watts stated he was predominantly attracted to boys ages 9 to 12. During subsequent telephone conversations Watts talked about working at a Mill Creek boys basketball game, the agent testified. The two met again Feb. 12 at Watts' home where the suspect transferred 1,027 images to the agent's thumb drive.

"I don't know of any man in the United Methodist North Georgia district more admired, more respected," said Dr. Joe Peabody, pastor of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in east Cobb.

FBI Special Agent Stephen Emmett tells WSB 71-year-old Albert Turnell, Jr. was arrested Thursday morning on charges of possession and distribution of child porn. Emmett says Turnell "came to law enforcement's attention over the Internet" and was taken into custody at his Smyrna home. The case was investigated by the FBI's Innocent Images Task Force and the GBI's Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

The investigation began, according to court documents, after a citizen in Fairhope, Ala., complained to the police department in January about pornography posted on a Facebook account of a Fairhope resident. An FBI agent based in Mobile interviewed the person who complained and was told about child pornography being posted on other Facebook accounts.The agent was given permission to take over the complainant’s Facebook account to view the contents of a page the citizen had reported. The agent reported that the user of the account who identified himself as “Terry Lewis” offered to swap pictures of girls between 9 and 21 years of age, but “I like them to be 10-16 myself,” according to the affidavit.

Lewis – later identified as Cannon, according to the agent – gave permission to view the contents of his Facebook page. On Jan.25, 2011, the complaint said, the “Terry Lewis” Facebook account was being used to post more than 600 images of child pornography including prepubescent girls with their genitalia exposed and multiple videos including adults performing sexual acts on prepubescent females.

Maine State Police arrested a Greenbush man Thursday afternoon after reportedly finding child pornography on his computers. John Wilson, 23, was arrested Thursday afternoon on a charge of possessing sexually explicit material, a Class C felony, after state police raided his Middle River Road home and seized his computers and cell phones, Maine Department of Public Safety spokesman Stephen McCausland said Friday.

“They found [sexually explicit] images immediately and then seized the equipment,” he said. He said Wilson’s hard drives now are being analyzed by the Maine State Police Computer Crimes Unit in Vassalboro. According to McCausland, investigators believe that Wilson posted child pornography on as many as 15 Facebook accounts he created over the past year. Wilson’s alleged criminal activity was reported to authorities by personnel from the social networking site as well as members of the public over the past month. “Facebook has been dealing with him on and off,” McCausland said. “Facebook would find a site and take the site down, and he would go ahead and set up a new one.”

Cybercrime investigators began tracking Chisena Sr. after he went online to solicit sex with minors. Agents searched his mother's Apopka home Friday night looking for evidence. Marine Corey McAdoo, age 31, made an initial appearance before Federal Magistrate Nita Stormes in the Southern District of California on Friday, January 28th. A criminal complaint, filed by the FBI in Portland charges McAdoo with two counts of receiving child pornography. At the time, he was stationed at a U.S. Marine Camp in Leatherneck, Afghanistan. The complaint alleges that a girlfriend living in Portland, Inez Lambert, sent McAdoo numerous child pornography videos that she produced between October and November of 2010. Lambert faces several charges from the State of Oregon. In the course of this investigation, NCIS agents interviewed McAdoo in Afghanistan, and, at the direction of the camp commander, the military subsequently returned him to Camp Pendleton, California. He arrived in California earlier this week. On Thursday, January 27th, the FBI arrested McAdoo on the federal charges, and, with the assistance of NCIS, transported him to the Metropolitan Correctional Center in San Diego.

Another Mississippi law enforcement officer has been arrested for allegedly keeping child porn on his state issued laptop. Anthony Nicholas Tremonte, 31, was arrested Wednesday and charged with one count of Possession of Child Pornography. On Friday, the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department’s Tri County Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force searched Tremonte’s home on Moreton Place in Ocean Springs and seized the laptop. What officers found on that computer led to Tremonte’s arrest five days later.

Jackson County Sheriff's investigators had Tremonte under surveillance with the county's Internet Crimes Against Children system for 3 weeks, Sheriff Mike Byrd said. Tremonte's computer hard drive was seized by investigators on Friday and child pornography images were discovered Tuesday afternoon, Byrd said.

An award-winning kindergarten teacher who was arrested Thursday and accused of possessing child pornography remained at Somerset County Jail on Friday after his first court appearance. Rob P. Mocarsky, 41, who has been a teacher at Forest Hills Consolidated School in Jackman since 2002, is charged with Class A sexual exploitation of a minor under 12 years old and Class C possession of sexually explicit materials of a minor under 12 years old. Police said they found dozens of sexually explicit photographs of children on Mocarsky’s computer.

According to documents in Somerset County Superior Court, Mocarsky’s alleged exploitation of a minor occurred between Sept. 1, 2007, and June 30, 2008. His alleged possession of child pornography was discovered Thursday when a team of detectives from the Maine State Police executed a search warrant at his home, which was followed by Mocarsky’s arrest.

Plante said the issue came to light after she received complaints and questions from a parent on Dec. 8, 2010. Mocarsky, who has a wife and two children, was put on administrative leave that day. Before that, he had been seen as an exemplary teacher, said Plante. In 2004, he was one of 100 teachers in the United States to win a Miliken Family Foundation Educator Award, which came with a $25,000 prize. Plante said he also has been nominated in recent years for the Maine Teacher of the Year award.

Hernandez was arrested after he apparently abandoned his computer which was subsequently purchased at an estate sale. The computer reportedly contained 450 photographs and about 250 video files of child pornography portraying a total of 44 different victims. The computer contained information which permitted the FBI to trace the pornography back to the crew member. Amado Nicholas Hernandez, age 31,was employed by Celebrity Cruises as an audiovisual manager and provided onboard guest-entertainment services.

Dr Thomas B Manton's Case Is The Odd One Out.

Notice the stark difference between Manton's case and the above cases that had nothing to do with the Gulf disaster? Dr Thomas B Manton's case stands out like a sore thumb. Not only did he not fit in the profile of a child molester or one who indulges habitually in child-porn activities, the circumstances leading to the discovery of the child-porn files in his computer were very different. If Manton was not your average child-molester or child-porn addict, why was he targeted exactly 2 years before the Macondo Wells were destined to blow in Oct 2009?

“Manton was arrested Oct 16 2007 by Detective Lieutenant Brad Stark of the Okeechobee County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO) after he had taken his computer to a local business for repair. The computer technician found the child photos and immediately contacted the Sheriff’s office. Lt. Stark arrested Man when he showed up to get his computer.”

Unlike the genuine child-porn cases, no suspicious past activities (cyber or otherwise) triggered any investigation or were there any surveillance on Manton's suspected child-porn activities before the arrest. Like any sexual activities conducted in the privacy of the home or computer, law enforcement officers do not normally zoom to arrest the suspected offender based on a third party report. In the 10 cases quoted above, the reported child-porn activities were confirmed by a period of surveillance, investigation and/or previous conviction as the chances of false reporting (with malicious intent) can be very high. Understandably, the investigating officers would not want to rush into any arrest without being doubly sure.

The child-porn files were supposedly “an accidental discovery” by a computer technician who was repairing Manton's computer. The fact that the DNA sample obtained from the lower rectum of Saiful's @!$%# was confirmed to be Anwar's, still does not prove Saiful (a healthy, strong young man in his mid twenties) was forcefully sodomised (raped) by Anwar, a smaller older man approaching 65 in age with a well-known back problem. At the very least, consensual sex by willing partners maybe but certainly not sodomy by force as claimed. The Anwar Sodomy II case is just as ridiculous as Manton's child-porn charge.

The fact that the child-porn files were found in Manton's computer during a period when Manton's computer was no longer in his possession or under his control, does not prove anything. Why would the detectives take the computer technician's word against an elderly prominent man who was not computer savvy? It would have been a stronger case against Manton if the child-porn pictures were found in Manton's computer immediately after confiscation in his presence. Not in his absence!

Manton's computer had malfunctioned after a bout of virus/worm/spyware attacks. The concerted computer attacks on the independent voices of truth on the Gulf Disaster reported in our previous articles, do ring a bell. In one Adware scan, there were 17 suspected spyware files. The interesting fact was none of the detected malicious “spyware” had been listed before.

If there were reasonable doubts that the child-porn pictures described by the sentencing judge as “horrific and evil behaviour” why had the the detectives not place Manton under tight surveillance or carried out a sting operation. If they had been so confident (maybe based on previous convictions or complaints) why did they not raid Manton's house for further substantiating evidence. Zilch! Even the second computer taken from his home after Manton's arrest had to be sent to Detective David Broughton of the Martin County Sheriff's office as they needed a computer expert to find “the additional photos and video of children”.

Even the most lenient judge should find this fact disturbing. Why do they need a “computer expert” detective to “find more photos and videos of children”? The fact that the average “computer technician” who was supposed to be repairing the computer (and /or harddisk) and not meticulously searching for the “child-porn pictures” suggests that the offensive files could be easily seen or found. Even a 100GB harddisk carries an average of 60,000 files (of all sizes) or 200 million high resolution mpg images (500k). Even if Manton had instructed the computer technician to recover his files from the “problematic harddisk”, all the files would have been transferred en masse by a recovery programme. There would not be a chance to look at individual picture or video files, unless the technician was specifically instructed to search for them. Most antivirus programmes do not scan data files (and photos are data files). Again if an anti-virus programme was used to scan the harddisk, there would not be a chance of an accidental discovery of 200 odd child-porn pictures unless there was a “premeditated effort to discover them” or easier still plant them.

So if a “computer expert” detective was necessary to “find” the “more child-porn pictures” in the second computer, 70-year old Manton must have been a computer nerd to hide them so well with encryption or other digital tactics. By all reckoning, the child-porn pictures should have been easier to find in the second computer, since the detectives knew what to look for. So either the detectives had much lower intelligence than the “computer technician” who could find the pictures accidentally outside his scope of work or the “shoes” just do not fit.

If there were going to be more questions than answers, why did the investigating officers not look for more incriminating evidence. All computer files carry with them attributes that include date-time stamps when the files were created, modified, originated, transferred, no of pixels etc. Details would reveal whether all these files were transferred at the same time, by the same mode or from the same sources etc. Such information would have erased all doubts on Manton's suspicious possession of child-porn charges to secure a firm conviction. With such detailed evidence, there would be no need to trump up on the numbers of images or the obscenity of the child-porn images as reported in the Okeechobee News on 6 Aug 2010. The only reason why there was no need to gather further incriminating evidence, was because Manton like any computer illiterate of his generation (lost in the computer age), was wrongly advised (legally) and was overwhelmed by the seemingly incriminating evidence of 500 pictures. It must have sounded a lot to someone who had probably not seen a child-porn picture before.

More curious was the fact that the Okeechobee County Sheriff did not see fit to apply for a search warrant immediately after being notified by the computer technician who discovered the files. If this was indeed a surprised accidental discovery, an immediate search of Manton's other computers should have been warranted before the evidences were destroyed. Why wait to arrest Manton only after he showed up to collect his computer? Where was the urgency if indeed this was the “child-porn bust” of the year involving a high profile personality? In fact if you google for Manton's arrest in 2007, you would not find any news on it. Compare it with the genuine cases above. Strange is it not when exposure and publicity were supposed to be the main deterrent to such despicable crime? Why? What happened to the “videos of children” stated in the news report?

The Secrecy Surrounding Manton's Child-Porn Arrest.

Manton's arrest and child-porn charge were kept secret instead of being publicized for it to be an effective “noose around Manton's neck”; to keep him in check and to ensure his silence. Nobody, not even Manton or the detectives who arrested him knew the real motives behind the arrest. Any publicity would have been detrimental to the objective of the “frame-up” operation. If Manton had decided to publicly prove his innocence, maybe the disastrous blowout could have been averted.

But child-porn charges bring shame and stigma to those even if their guilt had not been proven yet. If that had happened then the plot for Project Gulf Disaster might have been exposed and possibly derailed it. Watergate was initially reported as burglary. President Kennedy's assassination was also full of discrepancies. The official story on 911 is also beginning to fall apart, after 10 years. The “Gulf of Tonkin Incident” which propelled the US into a stalemate War was a farce. So were many historical incidences which changed the course of world history.

Dead men tell no tales but coincidences are no accidents either.

Were the recent deaths of personalities associated with Gulf Disaster all coincidental? Just like Manton's false conviction, if the surface is scratched, the truth will definitely show. Only those who had escaped death from such murderous plots, could tell their harrowing tales and the secrets behind these murders plots.

Since dead men tell no tales, my near-death experiences will do to illustrate the mafia and evil scheming in the oil industry; just because I chose to speak the truth without fear and favor, carry out my work diligently and refusing to bend under pressure from my employer to turn a blind eye on the safety violations, data and medical frauds, corruptions and unscrupulous business practices I encountered as the Client Representative for oil companies. I entered the Oil Industry as an enthusiastic young geologist full of expectation and respect for an awesome industry. I left the industry, totally deluded and disappointed with the industry 30 years later. Any lingering doubts the oil industry will regulate itself and reverse the oily slope of deterioration, was snuffed out with the Deepwater Horizon blowout on 20 April 2010.

The industry-wide safety farce and oily corruption power is aptly demonstrated by the world's largest geohazards survey company which is tasked with seeking out safety hazards in the oil industry. Instead of chartering decent safe vessel, an Indonesian Government vessel (BJ1) which was mothballing in port serving as a floating accommodation for resting crew was chartered on the cheap (illegally) to a middleman who inflated it by 5 times to USD5,000/day. The geohazards contractor repackaged it (just like the toxic subprime loans) to charge unsuspecting Oil Companies at 1000% (USD50,000/day). Besides the corruption to get vessel certified as a seaworthy vessel fully compliant with international standards (which of course was a big farce by itself), there were numerous breakdowns, fires, safety violations and frauds etc. The vessel was grounded at port when the halon fire smothering system blew up. Even for a hardcore quality control professional, the deceptive maneuvering and “cat & mouse play” to get the vessel sailing left no doubt it was the tail which wagged the dog. To resume the survey, the contractor had to reinstall the halon fire smothering system. But international regulations prohibit the installation of any new halon system. Halon is a banned ozone depleting, environmentally hazardous gas. There are alternatives such as CO₂ but they would cost more and required time. The Philippines Marine Authorities not only turned a blind eye. A few high ranking officials even turned out for a “mock” inspection which was later admitted as a “social visit” after my exposure. The Australian oil company I represented did not bother to respond.

Disappointed that I refused to turn a blind to the blatant HSE abuses, cheating and frauds (as other Client Reps had subserviently obliged), my employer plotted with the errant contractor, to set me up for several “accidents”. Initially I found it hard to believe but the falsified contracts, work instructions even to the extent of violating Australian Immigration laws, fraudulent medical certification and long email trails of outright lies cannot be wrong. If so many segments of the industry in so many parts of the world are in collusion with government regulators to willfully ignore so many whistle-blower reports, is it any wonder, disasters like Australia's greatest oil spill (Montara in Timor Sea) and US's most disastrous mega oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico happened on such a regular basis?

Coercion into Plea Bargaining.

It would be more of a surprise if any autopsy on Manton's false conviction showed no deception and underhand tactics?

500 images were originally quoted to scare Manton into submission as with any coercion-tactic. Otherwise, why would only 120 photos be later defined as pornographic? How did 120 become 115 child-porn images and amounted to only 33 counts? Was it any surprise the 33 counts were finally reduced to only 1 count on 21 May 2010, 1 month after the blowout? 35 Surety Bonds (no 2501421451 - 2501421485) totalling USD700,000 (USD20,000 x 35) were posted on 14 Jan 2009 and released on 6 Aug2010 the day of sentencing. These are no wacky numbers but facts from the court filings.

Compare this to bonds of USD5,000 to USD50,000 normally imposed for “possession of child-pornography” charges. Has the law changed so much since 2007? It could not be since even a convicted habitual under-aged sex offender and under-aged prostitution operator was sentenced to only 13 months jail.

A British Prince, an American Paedophile & the Australian Teen Sex Slave

The FBI case revealed sexual allegations by at least 20 girls, however, Epstein struck a deal with prosecutors and served 13 months' jail for soliciting child prostitution.

Why were only 115 pornographic photos sent to the National Centre for Missing and Exploited Children? Should not 500 images be sent for identification? On what basis did they select the 115 photos? How many of the photos sent matched with the children who had been identified to have come from Georgia, North Carolina and Texas (within the US) and other countries? What was the percentage hit? With thousands (if not millions) of child-porn pictures in the Internet, what are the chances of 10% hit? A 10% hit rate would suggest the detectives knew which photos to send for identification and a strong likelihood that the child-porn images were planted from police record files of missing and exploited children.

Why were there no follow-up in rescuing the children identified within the US? Why was Manton not investigated further on how he acquired those child-porn images? If these were downloaded from the internet, why was it not reported like the other child-porn cases? If not, did the detectives derelict on their duties to follow up (as in other genuine child-porn cases) for more serious offenses of child molestation, production of child-porn or even exploitation of children.

It seems the prosecutors were quite contented in charging Manton for only possession of child-pornography. Isn't a 15-year jail sentence for a first time offender a little too harsh? Considering that child molesters routinely had much lighter sentencing, is this not too heavy handed? What did Manton do to deserve this harsh sentence, other than his independent voice on the Gulf Disaster? How can Americans stand tall with such double standard justice? Or is justice served to please the British Colonial master, considering Prince Andrew and Tony Hayward are both British?

Why was confirmed Billionaire Child-Sex offender given a lighter jail sentence of 13 months?

It should not be forgotten that Epstein is a registered sex offender after recently completing his sentence for offences relating to child prostitution. However, he avoided trial on more serious charges that carried a potential life sentence. And no one reading The Mail on Sunday’s interview with the woman who was prepared to testify against him can be in any doubt of the seriousness of the charges.

Eventually, Epstein struck a ‘plea bargain’ with prosecutors – a practice not permitted under British law – under which he was allowed to plead guilty to two relatively minor charges.

Police claim that his donations to politicians and his ‘dream team’ of influential lawyers deterred prosecutors from bringing more serious charges of sex-trafficking. The deal certainly kept the names of a lot of Epstein’s famous friends out of an embarrassing court case. However, an unusual part of the agreement was that Epstein’s alleged victims were allowed to bring civil proceedings against him.

He has so far made 17 out-of-court settlements, and some cases are ongoing. One of these girls was to have been a key witness for the prosecution had the case gone to trial. Actions speak louder than words, it shows in Manton's framed-up conviction & unfair sentence.

Dr Thomas B Manton's framed-up conviction and subsequent murder in jail while serving time, are significant in more ways than many had realised. They add to the growing list of evidences that point to the fact that BP's Mega Oil spill was a planned disaster; possibly first hatched after the successful implementation of Project 911 and planned in earnest in 2007 when the new BP CEO, Tony Hayward was specifically sent to America to take charge of this important Gulf Disaster project.

Dr Thomas B Manton (a descendant of former President Thomas Jefferson) is a high profile personality with powerful political foreign friends, an outspoken human rights figure and the CEO (also President) of the International Oil Spill Control Corporation. If a mega oil spill disaster was indeed being planned in 2007, Dr Thomas B Manton would definitely be number one on the “assassination target” list. But eliminating a high profile personality would risk exposing the covert scheme. The frame-up charge and arrest was only an instrument to keep Manton from “spilling the beans” on the after-disaster Recovery or more accurately; Cover-Up Efforts.

The late Matt Simmons was not an open critic of the oil industry before the disaster or in 2009. This explains why he was not targeted until after the unsuccessful “killing of the well” in early Aug 2010. The late Ted Stevens was also a surprised whistle-blower that needed to be silenced after his announced donation of all his senate and personal papers on BP's operation in Alaska. Dr TB Manton needed to be reined with a noose around his neck, in order to secure his cooperation. He was tricked into a plea bargain in late May, about a month after the 20 April 2010 blowout. He accepted the plea bargain (with a promise of no jail sentence) so that he could concentrate his effort on the oil spill remediation effort.

Dr Thomas B Manton, Matt Simmons and Ted Stevens were all silenced in the week following the failure to kill Well A convincingly on 2 Aug 2010. Their connections to the Gulf Disaster and timing of their deaths were no coincidences.

If Dr Thomas B Manton had been falsely convicted and subsequently murdered to secure his silence, he should be included in the growing list of Project Gulf Disaster's victims. He should be honored instead of being wrongfully disgraced. His false conviction is one more proof that the power behind Project Gulf Disaster spans across national borders and beyond global oil corporations. Is there a common factor between the quake off Fort Morgan on 18 Feb 2010 and the recent swarm of quakes occurring in the vicinity of the New Madrid Fault zone? You are right if the BP Mega Oil spill and the Deepwater Horizon blowout on 20 April 2010 comes to mind.

They are all quakes similar to the disastrous 22 Feb 2011 quake that occured close to Christshurch in New Zealand. Their shallow epicentres are off the main tectonic (or intra-plate) main fault lines. There are significant differences though, especially in magnitude and tectonic plate settings. The recent NZ disaster was more devastating than an earlier quake 11 times more powerful with its epicentre on the plate margin.

Since the 2Aug 2010 quake at Louisiana, we have been warning of more occurrences of such shallow low magnitude quakes. See figure 145-1 which shows some of the hidden series of NW-SE strike-slip fault lines typical of intra-plate movement. The fault chart (prepared in August and updated only with annotations) was only published on 10 Nov2010, Update On BP Rigs Location & the Fault Connection. The consequence of the continuing corosive erosion along these faults by leaking hydrocarbons from deep reservoirs (not only from the Macondo prospect) is the release in stresses between the upper and lower crust; resulting in shallow quakes of generally low magnitude. What is the area extent of these continuing leakages of hydrocarbons along these faults , vaporisation of methane hydrates due to warming effect of these leaking hydrocarbons and rapid mass depletion caused by continuing sub-seabed erosion? Judging by the number of reported quake-swarms, we are pretty close to the point of no return if we have not passed that point yet.

So far the quakes had been low magnitude between 2 to 4 on the Richter Scale. FEMA is expecting a major quake disaster similar to the recent Christchurch Quake in New Zealand. As we have seen, the shallow quakes are more devastating than a deep one at the base of the crust. The New Madrid Fault is an intra-plate tectonically stressed zone. It behaves very differently from the tectonic plate margins.

Since these shallow intra-plate quakes had been unleashed by the drilling and blowouts at the Macondo prospect, it makes sense to monitor closely the seafloor and the continental shelf edges. Mapping the gas vents in the vicinity of these faults and shelf edges would go a long way to making accurate predictions of what to expect in the vicinity of the New Madrid Fault zone. More powerful need not necessarily be more devastating but one thing for sure, the disaster has not ended yet despite what you have been told. Christchurch was hit by a hidden fault (???)

Perhaps it was the 14 Jan political overthrow of authoritarian president Zine El-Abidine Ben Ali who ruled Tunisia with an iron fist for the last 23 years and the ensuing popular uprising in the Middle East uprising against tyranny, misrule, corruption and highhandedness. Even the world's 10^th largest military could not suppress the civilian uprising which has until today lasted 17 days. President Hosni Mubarak who had a tight control of the Egyptian armed forces is expected to step down any time soon. (He stepped down 2 days after this article was written).

Perhaps the lies and cover-ups of the Gulf Oil Spill disaster are bursting at the seams. Like any cancerous terminal illness, it is no longer possible to cover the lesions and symptoms with “cosmetics”. The only escape hatch is to spin and muddle the pool. With sufficient willful ignorance in the world's populace, the perpetrators of the BP's Mega-oil spill disaster could escape scott free just as in Project 911 Disaster. 911 served as the main reason for the War on Terror; triggering the Afghan & Iraqi wars, Homeland Security and Patriot Acts etc which not only affected the US but the whole wide world. Today after more than 10 years, you cannot air-travel as freely without being groped and probed.

Despite the many “hanging and disturbing” questions, PYSOPS were used to put the blame on innocent parties while the masterminds behind the disaster reaped enormous economic windfalls from the “fallout” of the disaster. Americans and the world are still paying the real costs. Project 911 Disaster was so successful there was no question of an encore which had to be bigger, longer and more devastating to generate even bigger windfall. The world was ripe for climatic changes. Gradual climatic changes are non-destructive and do not generate windfalls for those in the know. Catastrophic climatic changes do. Carbon Emission and Global Warming schemes exploit climate change. Instead of conservation, splurging is encouraged so that our excesses can be taxed profitably. Mega-disasters are the new trends in generating mega-windfalls with sinister motives in case you have not noticed.

Project Gulf Disaster

What better way to herald the onset of a global catastrophic climate change by triggering an already precarious world with an apparently accidental mega-disaster? If Project 911 disaster was planned prior to Bush being elected in 2000, then Project Gulf Disaster must have been planned soon after 911 was successfully executed. It was planned to explode in October of 2009 within the first year of the new president. It would have been the new president's 1011 to further erase persistent doubts that Bush's 911 was preplanned.

Would they risk the success of Project Gulf Disaster by the growing independent voices of truth in the Mega-Oil spill? The answer is NO.

Stamping out the independent voices of truth.

After more than 7 months of trying to stamp out the independent voices of truth in BP's mega oil spill without success, the powers behind the Project Gulf Disaster had to act urgently before the growing masses of “non-believers in the controlled mainstream media” become unmanageable. Whatever their fears, determined efforts to silence the independent voices of truth on the BP's Mega Oil Spill were stepped up especially after 19^th Sept 2010 when the premature pronouncement of the dead wells were proven to be blatant deception meant for public consumption. The dead wells were alive and leaking!

The increasing health problems being reported by the gulf victims, scientific findings of higher than expected oil/corexit tainted gulf water, increasing evidences of a dying gulf and unprecedented occurrences of shallow low magnitude earthquakes cannot be natural nor coincidental. They are testimonies of a massively leaking reservoir; confirming our worst fears.

While it might have been possible to gag random voices of truth and cover the initial localised consequences of the disaster, it would be difficult to dismiss a dead gulf stream, mass deaths of birds and fishes and extreme weather conditions (among other abnormalities) worldwide. Was the recent worst flood disaster in Queensland part of the chain of events triggered by BP's mega oil spill disaster?

Sounds far-fetched? Not if you understand the logical analyses on how the world not only inherited 3 leaking wells through willful negligence, but through incompetence intertwined with vested business interests, fears of job losses, cover-ups and greed, BP had “unwittingly” engineered the world's largest network of faulted-fractured pathways for “natural” oil and gas seeps. Impossible? Then consider this simple basic fact.

Is it possible for oil/gas gushing out of an 9-7/8 inch casing well to stop the massive gulf stream?

Art Berman (a pro-BP apologist) in his attempt to justify a lower estimated flow from the blown well, reproduced statistics from MMS on more than 8,700 wells drilled in the Gulf of Mexico since 1996.The highest known flow rate per well is approximately 100,000 bpd (barrels per day). See Estimated Oil Flow from the BP Mississippi Canyon Block 252 "Macondo" Well.

He nevertheless, omitted the fact that there were 3 leaking wells NOT ONE, when the article was published on 29 June 2010. His most reasonable estimate was 40,000 – 50,000 bpd for one well. With 3 gushing wells, Art Berman's total flow rate would have been 120,000 to 150,000 bpd.

But would 3 vertical columns of oil at 150,000 bpd be able to stop the mighty gulf stream which moves 30 million cu metres of water per sec or 188.7 million barrels per sec? 150,000 bpd translates to only 0.28 cu.metres per sec (or just 0.000001% of the Gulf Stream flow). No wonder Tony Hayward said the leak was only a tiny drop in the ocean.

Further, if the oil had not been dispersed with Corexit, much of the spill would have streamed up to the sea surface and removed from the water column. Surface oil layers would have no significant effect in stopping the largely thermohaline circulation driven gulf-stream flow at 30 million cu metres of water per sec (Wikipedia). Stripped of technical jargon or adulterated data/statistics, such simple logic show the Project Gulf Disaster for what it truly is; a mega fraud designed for mega-financial gains with sinister mega motives with mega collateral damages.

So how did the Gulf Stream die?

The fact that the Gulf Stream flow did stop is proof that a lot more oil and gas did flow out of the reservoirs than officially declared. The amount of oil spilled had to be more (greater than 150,000 bpd) but not all came out through the wells. The 10inch casing could not accommodate such massive flows.

By drilling into a known geohazardous gas-hydrate Salt-Geology, for so many months (from Oct 2009 to April 2010) without adequate cement-protection against hydraulic continuity between gas-saturated strata, BP had negligently allowed corrosive “brine-gas” fluid to permeate and erode the highly porous, faulted and fractured Salt geology. The oil and gas leaking out of these newly “created” (eroded) pathways to the ocean bottom are more enormous than what we can imagine.

Ask yourself these simple questions.

If the “oil leak” had been fully sealed on 15 Sept 2010 as promulgated, what were 4 expensive drilling rigs with 5 wells-drilling capacity and many more supporting vessels doing at the Macondo site? Why were 2 drilling rigs (Development Driller III and Development Enterprise) still at site 3 months later?

All these confirmed the oil and gas had not stopped leaking from the reservoir and neither has the widespread hydrates stopped vaporising into poisonous methane gas. The leakages and vaporisation should be increasing logically. The fact that no marine surveys were commissioned to quantitatively assess the seabed, 9 months after the blowout, is itself strange and worrying, not only for the gulf residents but the world as well.

Immediately after the disaster, good-intentioned BP's managers wanted to contain and collect the oil through 3 giant containment domes at 3 spill locations. Why does the number “3” appear so often? The containment recovery method would have exposed the fact that 3 wells were drilled.

Officially it was the problem of hydrate crystals clogging the oil flow or collection. But insiders' information revealed that the first of the 3 containment domes, was still parked on a clear seabed a km away from the spill area when BP announced on 8 May that the containment efforts had failed. The significance of this containment failure escaped public attention even though it was mentioned in at least 3 past articles. Exactly how did hydrates form with no supply of methane gas? If it did, hydrates would be forming on every piece of equipment on the Macondo seabed. Make sense?

BP's mega-oil spill disaster has been referred to as the Crime of the Century. The dome containment effort did not fail. How could it fail when it was not never deployed over the leaking location? Again another simple logic.

Deploying the first containment dome over the “worst leak location” would have exposed the blown out crater at S20BC location, 720 ft NW of well A. Deploying 3 containment domes would reveal 3 well locations on the seabed and not 3 leakage points on the 5,000ft riser as reported by the mainstream media. You do not need 3 numbers of multimillion dollar containment domes if the 3 leakages were on the single riser. By cutting off the riser, you get only one Leakage. Elementary isn't it?

If containment is not the way to go, why would BP announced on 20 Sept 2010 (4 months later) its intention to join the Marine Well Containment Company (MWCC) and made its underwater well containment equipment available to all oil and gas companies operating in the Gulf of Mexico? If well containment was useable why abandon the containment effort altogether instead of using it to minimise environmental damage while the relief wells were still in progress?

Why allow the oil and gas to gush uncontrollably for so many months before the well was capped or killed? Well A which was drilled to only 5,000ft BML could have been killed as early as May. But a dead Well A would have exposed a 3^rd undisclosed well S20BC, 720 ft NW of well A. Corexit had to be used to disperse and hide the oil gushing out of the third well. How would it look if Well A was dead and yet the sea was still covered with oil?

Was that the primary reason BP was so insistent on using Corexit even after EPA had withdrawn permission for its usage? Environmental friendly alternatives were not considered for the same reasons.

Production Of Corexit By Nalco Which Is Associated With Bp And Exxon.

In just 3 months after the Deepwater Horizon exploded on April 20, 2010, BP pumped nearly 2 million gallons of Corexit into the Gulf of Mexico (The Examiner, 25 July 2010).

The $64 million question is, “If corexit had been banned by UK more than a decade ago, and its adverse effects widely known after the Exxon Valdez spill in 24 March 1989, would any company find it profitable to continue producing a banned product in large quantities?” Even storing hazardous liquids would be expensive.

How could such toxic dispersant (with no other industrial application) be available in such large quantities so soon after the blowout? Is it not strange for a company known for aggressive cost cutting to have such large quantities of dispersant on standby as if a major oil spill was expected?

Then again BP's safety policy require a well to be relocated if there was a drilling risk. Surely an exploration well cannot be that important it cannot be moved by 500m or even 1 km? Well locations are moved all the time on perceived drilling risks. So what purpose did the geohazards assessment and survey serve? Were the geohazards survey specifically for the Macondo Wells even conducted? Insider's information suggested none were carried out. Most international safety policies (including BP's) employ “Better be safe than sorry” principle. So why would BP choose the expensive and risky option of drilling into trouble rather than the prudent option of a safer location?

Was it just plain business acuteness or pre-disaster rammed up production of Corexit? Many had asked the “profit motive” of a preplanned disaster. Isn't all the economic windfalls obvious?

The Gulf Stream would not have died if Corexit was not used in such large quantities.

If the oil and gas had been collected at the wells instead of the phoney Top-Kill, or even allowed to rise quickly to the surface, the Gulf Stream would not have died. It died because the oil and gas were dispersed and allowed to accumulate within the water column, effectively homogenizing and destroying the thermohaline stratification needed for the gulf stream to circulate. If BP had not used dispersant, the oil would have surfaced, washed ashore and removed from the water column instead accumulating and mixing within the gulf-stream water column.

The rov evidences showed even more gas vents along all the fault lines. On a single 2-hour Rov surveillance tour (labelled as biological survey), the Rov traversed back and forth from Well A to at least 7 gas vents (at 10-15 deg intervals). All the gas vents had been marked with guide ropes and marker buoys; confirming BP knew more about the gas vents than they care to admit.

So how much methane vaporised from hydrates due to the warming effect of the hot hydrocarbons and how much light hydrocarbons (radioactive?) escaped from the reservoir? It is impossible to estimate accurately. Minimal estimates arrived at, are quite staggering.

It is the combined effect of dispersed oil, continuous gas-venting along the fault lines and edges of the salt domes over hundreds of sq km and the continual vaporisation of hydrate to gaseous methane that knocked out the gulf-stream. Not the puny gas leak gushing out of well A which mermerised the world for 187 days. The total volume of escaping gas over the whole Macondo prospect would be hundreds of time larger than the total volume of oil leaked out through the wells and fault zones.

In our past articles, we had demonstrated the potent sub-seabed erosion of escaping light hydrocarbon and brine (from formation) through the faulted and porous Salt domes. If containment efforts had been used in earnest instead indiscriminate “killing of the zombie wells” the environmental and climatic consequences would have been far less damaging. Rather than reveal the truth about the 3 wells, did BP herald the onset of Catastrophic Climate by engineering the world's largest network of faulted-fractured pathways for unnatural oil and gas seeps?

The faster than normal erosion within the formation and sub-seabed, stretching from 18000 ft BSL to the seabed has far-reaching effect; more drastic than the masterminds of Project Gulf Disaster BP had anticipated. If the blown-well had not been blocked, the problem would have been easily and safely resolved. But safe recovery was not in BP's best interest; covering their mistakes and bad intentions were.

BP's continued denial and cover-ups had triggered a chain of calamities not only in the US but all over the world starting with abnormally cold and prolonged winter in the Northern Hemisphere, followed by the worst floods in the documented history of northern Australia.

Major volcanic eruptions had worldwide climatic consequences lasting for years. Why would this massive underground eruption and continuous spewing of oil and gas spanning hundreds of sq km for over 9 months be any different? We choose to be willfully ignorant to our own peril.

Some words of wisdom from Dr Thomas B Manton, a Gulf Hero and Public Critic who was recently murdered after being framed-up in late 2007. His frame-up and murder confirm Project Gulf Disaster was planned years earlier by powers that spanned beyond BP and the present US Administration.

"Manton was particularly distressed that the U.S. Federal Government allowed BP to completely take charge of the Gulf of Mexico oil spill disaster area, as his experience taught him that the offending oil company should never be given command over the oil spill response.”

“BP has done more damage to harm the American homeland than al-Qaeda could ever do.”

“We learned very quickly the difference between we Americans, who prefer to contain and collect spilt oil, and the British who preferred the use of dispersant to try to make it disappear in the ocean.”

Nine months after the onset of the oil/gas eruptions, the climatic consequences of Project Gulf Disaster are starting to show. Fishes, dolphins, whales and birds are dying in masses. There are sound geological reasons for all these observed abnormalities. The people in the oil industry know the reasons but are not telling for fear of their jobs and lives. The top advocates of truth in this disaster are dead for a number of good reasons; but primarily to serve as a deterrent to would be whistle-blowers.

Deregulations and “Thou Shalt Not Fail” command.

Meanwhile before the masses start to connect the dots and ask the really difficult questions, the independent voices of truth needed to be silenced first. Detractors repeatedly pointed out that Dr TB Manton was arrested more than 2 years before the Gulf Disaster. Like any preplanned alibi, such prepaid defenses are not as solid on close scrutiny. A MIHOP (make it happen on purpose) disaster requires more skill, experience, effort and time in planning than a routine exploration well. Project Gulf Disaster needed years of planning with the right collaborators in place. It was no coincidence Tony Hayward took over as BP's CEO in early 2007.

Cheney also used that time to re-staff the Minerals Management Service with oil industry toadies including a cabal of his Wyoming carbon cronies. In 2003, newly reconstituted Minerals Management Service genuflected to the oil cartel by recommending the removal of the proposed requirement for acoustic switches. The Minerals Management Service's 2003 study concluded that "acoustic systems are not recommended because they tend to be very costly."

It was no coincidence Vice President Dick Cheney started to dismantle and relax stringent offshore regulations as far back as 2003. Even with an outdated (pre-2000) stringent offshore regulations and high HSE standards, minor random accidents and blowouts could still happen. But no way could a long series of “coincidental safety lapses and human mistakes” escalate into a major environmental disaster needed for Project Gulf Disaster. For this to happen, all control “floodgates” must be opened at the right time at the right places without arousing suspicions. Now that would be difficult without a subservient “watchdog” (MMS?) and a cooperative media that asks only the “right” questions.

Deregulations, bottom-line/profitability and “cost-cutting measures” come in handy.

Was it any wonder the door sign at Tony Hayward's office read “What would you attempt to do if you knew you could not fail”? Was this supposed to push his men to failure? He must have had countless problems with professional managers who would have objected to his seemingly unsafe, risky and reckless exploration management. Surely there would be true professionals who disagreed with the locations of the Macondo wells and saw the potential problems and drilling risks. Tony Hayward probably overrode all their safety concerns pointing to his door sign. It was like saying "Go ahead and jump off the cliff. You will not die". This was by itself a blatant violation of BP's or any international standard HSE policy.

As President of the International Oil Spill Control Corporation, Dr TB Manton was perceived as a major obstacle to the success of Project Gulf Disaster, if he chose to be uncooperative and to speak out.

Dr TB Manton needed to be reined with a noose around his neck, in order to secure his cooperation. He was tricked into a plea bargain in late May, about a month after the 20 April 2010 blowout. He accepted the plea bargain (with a promise of no jail sentence) so that he could concentrate his effort on the oil spill remediation effort. Now that is a real hero.

He could have fought the court battles to prove his innocence but the victims of the gulf disaster were more important to him. There are good fundamental reasons why Dr TB Manton's pornography conviction will not hold but being computer illiterate, Dr TB Manton was convinced it was a Slam Dunk for the prosecution.

Why Dr TB Manton & Matt Simmons needed to be silenced?

There was never any need to jail or kill Dr TB Manton even as late as July 2010 since BP was still confident of killing the spewing 3^rd well covertly before the first week of August. The relief wells were drilled towards this S20BC well at 18,000ft BML and not Well A. To ensure the “Dog and Pony” show at Well A was convincing enough, the relief wells had to intercept and bottom-kill the runaway well first. Nothing was left to chance; certainly not in full view of billions around the globe.

Relief well C intercepted the spewing well covertly in early July but BP lied for almost 2½ months that the much-awaited relief-well intercept happened only on 15 Sept. Even BP's believers were left wondering why it took so long to intercept from a mere 4 feet distance. But suckers are suckers no matter how bad the bovine @!$%# is?

The first relief well is only 4ft from the damaged well horizontally, but more work needs to be done before it can be used for a "kill" to stop the flow permanently. A final piece of casing needs to be cemented in place at the bottom of the relief well.

BP executive Kent Wells said on Thursday the oil giant had been given permission to begin preparing for "static" kill - pumping mud into the top of the well through the new cap - which is being viewed as an intermediate measure.

Just when success was within grasp, the “relief well-bottom kill” started to falter and did not hold as predicted by many. Well A which was “top-capped and shut tight” on 15 July, was also proving to be highly uncooperative. The well pressure did not rise to the expected 8.000-9,000 psi range (perceived as a moved goal post by many).

Could an openly gushing well connected to a reservoir with 13,000 psi pressure, peaked at less than 7,000 psi when capped, even if it was leaking? After 41 hours the well pressure rose slowly to 6745 psi; at about 2 psi per hour. The strange well pressure readings could not be explained by an 18,000ft sealed (or leaking) well connected to a deep high pressured reservoir. It can only be explained by a 5,000ft well with an open (1000ft) wellbore in hydraulic connection with a shallow gas-saturated weak formation (GWSF) zone.

“Retired Adm. Thad Allen, the national incident commander, has said that a pressure reading of 8,000 or 9,000 pounds per square inch (psi) inside the new cap would be ideal, while a pressure reading of 6,000 psi would indicate leakage. But pressures in an intermediate range would create ambiguity and force officials to make a tough decision on whether to keep the well shut in or open it back up and resort once again to containment operations.”

The plan was to showcase the “successfully killed well” at Well B which was already plugged and abandoned in mid March 2010. There were several video footages of the BOP (partially dismantled) near well B; prompting many to ask questions on the “busily travelling BOP”. BP had cautioned undesirable consequences if the BOP at Well A was removed before the well was killed at the bottom by the relief wells.

After Hurricane Bonnie, many observers were surprised the coordinates of the capped well approximated to Well B instead of Well A before the hurricane pull-out. Matt Simmons appeared on mainstream media crying foul play on a moved “goal post”. He was labelled a “mad person” for crying out “the emperor wore no clothes” while the rest of the world could see the “magnificent invisible golden robes” so finely woven it was practically transparent.

Worried their “Grand Phoney Finale” of killing Well A would fall apart and expose their crime of mass deception, BP set out to destroy the credibility of the Gulf Disaster's foremost critic, the Late Matt Simmons. It was no coincidence that The Oil Drum (TOD) published “A critical Examination of Matt Simmons' Claims on the Deepwater Spill” on 29 July2010 for Simmons to be publicly humiliated and severely trashed by his peers in the oil industry.

Just when they thought the last flame of truth had been snuffed out, the article Why is the BP's Macondo Blowout So Disastrous and Beyond PatchUp dated 25 July, was published the following day on 30 July. The article received an unprecedented 6,000% jump in website visits. Why? Because of its accurate depiction of the hazardous Salt geology in explaining the Macondo gas blowout. BP's schills immediately jumped in at all the blog forums to stamp out the “fire” but it was too late.

Shocked by the accuracy of the qualitative geological model and the wide support by pro-Simmons bloggers, BP thought the counter-attack must have been preplanned based on breached confidential information. To make matters worse, the supposedly killed well (S20BC) started spewing again on 2nd Aug with an abnormal earthquake event at Louisiana. An embarrassed BP had no choice but to show-case the phony well kill back at Well A which predictedly flopped. Thad Allen and BP were at a loss to explain the 40% cement loss at well A.

How could 200 barrels of cement be lost to seabed, out of 500 barrels pumped into an open well 18,000 ft long? Only an open-bottom Well A drilled 5,000 ft deep (BML) could explain the severe cement loss to seabed and BP was desperate to cover this critical fact and sore thumb.

For the first time since the 20 April blowout, Project Gulf Disaster was at risk of being exposed as a Mega Fraud. Drastic urgent steps had to be taken to stamp out the rapidly growing flame of skepticism.

On 6 Aug 2010, Dr TB Manton was sentenced to an unduly harsh 15 years jail time; effectively silencing a shocked innocent man who changed his “not guilty” plea in late May in exchange for a fine and no jail time. Two days later Matt Simmons was dead in a hot bath tub. Ex-senator Ted Stevens died in a plane crash 2 days later on 10 Aug 2010?

Another coincidence? Heck No!

A few days before Matt Simmons' death, the late Ted Stevens had announced he was going to donate all his senate and personal papers to the University of Alaska for research. The following day, BP followed with a One Million USD donation for the purpose of cataloging the papers from Ted Stevens' four-decade long political career. With a long tainted history, the cataloging move was suspiciously seen as a preemptive move to control exposure on BP's wrong-doings.

Former Sen. Stevens knew BP was cheating on BOP tests. Could he have been whacked because what he knew ties directly into the Gulf oil disaster?

The 48-year-old veteran oil worker claims that in the oil industry, particularly at BP, "the culture is basically safety procedures are shoved down your throat and then they look the other way when it's convenient for them." He claims that oil operators often wouldn't report spills and that when he spilled chemical fluid in 2003, he was told by his superiors not to report it. Mason, who now runs a small operation hauling freight in the Alaskan bush and owns guest cabins, says he was fired by a drilling company in 2006 after he wrote a letter to the editor of the Anchorage Daily News to condemn the firm for incorporating overseas and thereby avoiding taxes.

Mason and another oil worker provided sworn statements in a 2003 lawsuit that rig supervisors "routinely falsified reports to show equipment designed to prevent blowouts was passing state-mandated performance tests," reported the Wall Street Journal in 2005.

Mason was interviewed by the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission in 2005 during a probe into allegations that Nabors Drilling, a subcontractor to BP, falsified such tests, among other claims that BP failed to report blowouts at the massive Prudhoe Bay oil field. The probe was spurred by oil industry critic Charles Hamel, who forwarded his allegation to then-Senator Ted Stevens of Alaska.

BP Gives $1 Million to UAF to process Ted Steven's papers. British Petroleum is donating $1 million to the University of Alaska Fairbanks to catalog the papers from Ted Stevens' four-decade political career.

Could all these be coincidental? The weeks of silence that followed was taken as a sign that the deterrents had worked.

Now to silence the remaining Independent Voices Of Truth

The independent voices of truth did not die down as hoped. Instead there was steady stream of technically-precise missile strikes at the glaring flaws in BP's bathmetry, flawed shallow assessment and the investigation reports. BP also had a hard time explaining the presence of 4 expensive drilling rigs at the Macondo site in November. Could the 24-Nov plane crash at Destin, Florida, killing BP's director of operations for BP's Gulf Coast Restoration Organisation (Jim Black) be coincidental as well?

Dr Termotto's article The Gulf Of Mexico Is Dying posted on 1^st December, generated tremendous readers' response and rekindled waning public interests on the disaster. Following the late Matt Simmons' suspicious death on 8 August 2010, everyone in the Independent Voices Of Truth group was constantly reminded of possible infiltrators and threats to their normal lives and computers. BK in particular had experienced several attempts on his life for carrying out his professional duties as a QC consultant in the oil industry. His experience was quoted to serve as a warning and the seriousness of such threats within a seemingly respectable oil industry.

Despite making police reports based on documented evidences in several countries and making several whistle-blower reports to the oil companies, his own employer (Geohazards QC Consultant Firm), the world's largest geohazards contractors and various government departments in the respective countries, no actions or prosecutions were ever taken for the blatant safety abuses, medical and data frauds, corruption, improprieties, infractions, willful negligence and HSE deception. We are not talking about 3^rd world countries but first world countries within the top 15 list of the world's least corrupt countries.

The worst offenders are major oil companies and the offending contractors and consultants are leaders in their respective fields. It shows how high, far and wide, corrupt oil power had infiltrated into modern society and governments of the world. Without such high level oiled corruption, Project Gulf Disaster could not even be planned, let alone be executed with such wide ranging power as we had seen since April 2010. Modern high speed internet, strategic global coordination and dissemination of distorted truths by mainstream media helped to dowse the ever-willing to be deceived populace. Ignorant bliss lasts only as long as the calm before the storm. That storm is near.

The Oil Empire Strikes back

The Oil Empire could not sit back and watch helplessly as the Independent Voices Of Truth Websites gain in popularity while their carefully crafted deceptions got torn apart, one by one with each revealing posting. There were increasing reports of computer breaches by members of the independent group.

After increasing signs of covert retaliations by the Oil Empire, Dr Tom finally secured BK's permission to make public his endangered status in mid January. On 19 Jan during a Rense.com radio interview, Dr Tom publicly discussed BK's fugitive status and threats on his life. The next day we received news that Dr TB Manton had passed away on 19 Jan 2011 after suffering quietly from extreme head trauma inflicted by a fellow prisoner assailant. The timing of Dr TB Manton's assault seemed highly suspicious. Was Dr TB Manton's assault and subsequent death meant to serve as a reminder?

Two days later, several computers within the Independent Voices of Truth group were repeatedly attacked for weeks. Then on 7 Feb, Dr Tom was publicly slandered just like Late Matt Simmons was, prior to his “assassination”. Could such concerted attacks on members of the independent group mean the messages of truth were finally getting out to the wider concerned public? Were these attempts to silence the independent voices of truth? In an email dated 17 Feb, Dr Tom Termotto reported he had gone completely underground, fearing for his life. There has been no news from him since then.

Is it another coincidence that another prominent coastal scientist Gregory Stone with LSU passed away of an unknown illness on 18 Feb 2011? In a meeting this summer with BP representatives to discuss a possible contract, LSU coastal scientist Gregory Stone was asked about keeping his work confidential for three years. …

Stone, director of the LSU Coastal Studies Institute for the School of the Coast and Environment, decided that entering into any side contract with BP would go against his “good conscience.” …

Stone warned that colleagues should think twice. He acknowledged “some consternation” on the issue that has resulted in varying faculty opinions.

The LSU community is reeling after the sudden death Thursday of prominent LSU coastal scientist Gregory Stone. Stone, who was quoted extensively in many publications internationally after last year’s BP oil leak, was the director of the renowned Wave-Current Information System. …

“We’re all dazed and stunned,” [Chris D’Elia, dean of the LSU School of the Coast and Environment] said. “He was a lynchpin at this place. It’s a tremendous loss. He was loved by his staff. People who worked with him adored him.” D’Elia said Stone was admitted into intensive care late last week from an unknown illness. The thought was that Stone was improving but then news came that he died Thursday, D’Elia said. …

Our lives are in extreme danger for being independent and bringing the truths on the Gulf Mega Oil Spill to the world. As we dig deeper into a seemingly “accidental disaster” we find the oil business to be much dirtier than thought. After more than 140 years, the oil industry has morphed into a global uncontrollable monster that has the world tightly under its clutch. With each crude oil price hike, the increase in oil pressure pushes out a few more safety catches in the system. As we have seen in BP's Mega-oil spill and the negligent manner in which BP conducted its oil exploration program, safety in form and not in spirit is no safety at all. BP is not the only culprit in this greedy pursuit of oily profits by any means.

This is a disaster that need not have happened and should not have happened. But it did happen. There are valuable lessons to be learned but most important of all, this disaster has not ended and the long term health and environmental effects need world attention to force a comprehensive remediation, not just superficial compensation. The hydrocarbons leakage from the deep reservoir and methane vaporisation from the warming effect of that leakage have not stopped yet.

Allowing the culprits of this disaster to get back their life of luxurious yacht sailing while the Gulf victims suffer in silence, is gross injustice of the highest degree. Will the Gulf Disaster go the way of Piper Alpha, Exxon Valdez, Bhopal and countless other environmental disasters; forgotten and ignored, only to be repeated years later?

Covert white-collar CRIMES OF MASS DESTRUCTION are unscrupulously profitable and all our laws had not been formulated to deal with this cancer of modern society. Our energy and attention had been overly zapped and focused on the War on Terror, that we (as guardian of our children's freedom, safety and future) lapsed in our duty to be on a constant look out for infractions by enemies from within the top echelon of society.

Only through the collective efforts of global citizens worldwide, can we avert the next mega disaster; whether man-made or naturally accidental. Even if you do not entirely agree with our analyses, there is no harm in making the oil and other industries safer by practicing HSE in true spirit and not only in form. Increasing offshore regulations without understanding the root problem of industry-wide abuses would only increase cost with no tangible improvement in safeguarding the environment.

An immediate total ban to offshore drilling is not the solution either. Reviewing the abundant offshore data would be the first step to understanding the challenges we face before taking concrete steps to solving the problem. No amount of sabotage or evil-planning can succeed if everyone of us is civil enough to report willful negligence when we see it.

“Willful Blindness” as Bernand Madoff coined it is simply not acceptable. We must all take responsibility for our own environment. We cannot delegate custody of mother nature to the oil companies. It would be asking the Fox to guard the chicken coop. We must ask questions so tough no regulators would dare to derelict on their duties to act promptly and fairly on whistleblowers' reports. There is simply no substitution for Prevention.

The arch-swindler Bernard Madoff could not have bilked thousands of investors of billions of dollars without the “willful blindness” of scores of banks and hedge funds which put their own clients into the fraudster's fake investment business. Project Gulf Disaster was an investment fraud with a technological twist. The difference; the perpetrators walked free to enjoy their spoils despite the devastating effect because the WORLD IS NOT AWARE and DO NOT CARE ENOUGH. Now that the truth is known, do we stand in solidarity with the innocent gulf victims or remain passively in our comfort zones? Today it may be the Gulf of Mexico, but quite definitely, a mega-disaster might be coming to a neighborhood near you, if the oily business behind the Oil Industry is allowed to get any messier.

The recently published National Commission Report to the President of the United States of America (11th January 2011) and BP's own earlier Accident Investigation Report dated 8th September 2010 have focused almost entirely on the failings of equipment and processes on the drilldeck of the Deepwater Horizon, on the seafloor BOP and associated equipment and on the errors and mistakes made in drilling and cementing up of the close to completed well.

The fact is that BP were drilling at Macondo MC 252 in an area of well known and documented geological hazards (known in the industry as "Geohazards"). At Macondo these included such features as extensive beds of frozen gas (or methane hydrates) and a number of layers of artesian overpressured sands where the interstitial natural water pressures could cause casing collapse due to disturbance of those sands. This process is known as "liquefaction", also known in the trade as "shallow water flows" [SWF]. The presence of gas hydrates and shallow water flows in this Mississippi canyon shelf edge zone is very well documented by the MMS, BP and other operators.

Former BP CEO Tony Hayward is back in the news – and once again, he's putting critical wildlife habitat at risk.

Hayward was unceremoniously shipped to Siberia by BP last July. He'd had become a symbol of British Petroleum's remarkable combination of arrogance & incompetence, declaring he wanted the Gulf oil disaster over so he could have his cushy life back, then enjoying a day on a yacht while oil washed ashore in Louisiana & Florida.

BP's current CEO Tony Hayward's immediate predecessor as CEO resigned under the following circumstances as also described by Wikipedia:
"Browne faced charges of perjury for lying to the court over how he met Chevalier. Browne in a deposition to the court initially said the pair had met when they were both exercising in Battersea Park. Browne later admitted this was a lie. He acknowledged that he had actually met Chevalier via a commercial gay escort website, Suited and Booted.[3][12] However, Mr Justice Eady, the presiding judge in the case, said he decided not to refer the matter to the Attorney General with regard to possible perjury charges, as disclosure in the judgment of Lord Browne's behavior was "probably sufficient punishment".[13]"
We do know that BP has been thoroughly distrusted by many Americans and people around the world. Why is it that US Coast Guard Admiral Thad Allen does trust BP?
Dr. Thomas B. Manton, former President and CEO of the International Oil Spill Control Corporation, now living in Florida and wanting to save it from the oil spill.

On December 1, CCF published a special Dr. Tom Termotto Gulf disaster report, titled "The Gulf of Mexico is Dying." In an early July statement, he called the Gulf disaster "a tragic violation of the public trust," adding:

"The BP Gulf Oil Spill was created by man; it was not an act of God....It was an utterly manmade event; not an accident....where fate would have everything accidently go wrong that could go possibly so wrong....We wonder out loud about whether it is now time to establish a Regional Citizens' Initiative....to step in where government and industry have completely failed and betrayed the people."

His current assessment is based on seven months Gulf Oil Spill Remediation Conference work, "disseminate(d) with the authority and confidence of those who have thoroughly investigated a crime scene." A compelling body of evidence, including photo-documentaries, portrays the Gulf's true state - what BP, Washington, and major media reports suppressed.

In Brussels, the European Commission proposed a moratorium, which was fiercely opposed by the North Sea oil industry. The moratorium was defeated by MEPs, however, unanimously backed by the Labour, SNP, Conservative and Liberal Democrat members from Scotland.

This resulted in fierce criticism from the Scottish Green Party, who dubbed them "the shameful six". The spill also put the spotlight on BP's safety record in the North Sea, with the Sunday Herald revealing in June that the company had broken vital health and safety rules 54 times over the past five years.

"The Gulf oil spill focused attention on plenty of areas that the oil industry would rather no-one was thinking about," said Dr Richard Dixon, the director of WWF Scotland.

FRIENDS of the Earth Scotland pointed out that it was the poor communities that bore the brunt in the US. "It was only when oil started to reach Florida, rather than Louisiana, that the US took it seriously," said the group's head of campaigns, Juliet Swann.

BP, meanwhile, is busy trying to repair its damaged reputation. It has said sorry, taken responsibility for the clean-up and ploughed untold public relations resources into "making it right". The question is, could it happen again?

Nearly 400 feet long, the Horizon had formidable and redundant defenses against even the worst blowout. It was equipped to divert surging oil and gas safely away from the rig. It had devices to quickly seal off a well blowout or to break free from it. It had systems to prevent gas from exploding and sophisticated alarms that would quickly warn the crew at the slightest trace of gas. The crew itself routinely practiced responding to alarms, fires and blowouts, and it was blessed with experienced leaders who clearly cared about safety.

On paper, experts and investigators agree, the Deepwater Horizon should have weathered this blowout.

This is the story of how and why it didn't.

BP and the government famously declared that most of the oil had disappeared.

But as I've noted, as much as 98% of the oil is still in the ocean.

BP and the government denied this, of course.

But the oil is not remaining hidden.

Indeed, as the Wall Street Journal noted on December 9th:

A university scientist and the federal government say they have found persuasive evidence that oil from the massive Gulf of Mexico spill is settling on the ocean floor.

The new findings, from scientists at the University of South Florida and from a broad government effort, mark the latest indication that environmental damage from the blowout of a BP PLC well could be significant where it's hardest to find: deep under the Gulf's surface.

Investigators looking into BP's Gulf of Mexico oil spill have accused one of the energy giant's suppliers of obstructing the inquiry.

The White House oil spill commission said that National Oilwell Varco (NYSE: NOV - news) is not cooperating with its requests for information.

US officials need the company's help to recreate what the crew who died in the accident might have seen on their monitors in the moments before the Deepwater Horizon rig exploded. The accident, on April 20, killed 11 men.

What is the common factor between the BP Deepwater Horizon (DWH) disaster and the Pike Mine Disaster?

Both companies knowingly drilled into a fault zone with good probabilities of leaking methane gas. The dangers of methane gas had been well-documented and forewarned yet both companies did not exercise extra precautions. On the contrary, instead of beefing up capability (manual expertise and equipment) we saw equipment failing below working specifications.

In the Pike Mine, there were reports that the faulty pumps for the ventilators were not working to capacity. When a tunnel intersect a known fault (Hawera Fault - 60 m wide zone of fractured rocks) surely the possibility of gas infusion into the tunnel should have been checked out. So why were there no reported inspection checks on the methane gas level? Why was the methane allowed to build up to explosive level?

Was there any element of willful negligence as in BP disaster?

As we have seen in many cases, disasters can be highly profitable for those who know in advance or “privileged few in the know” (PFitK). This is very clear from the pattern of massive selling by BP’s directors and Goldman Sachs before the advent of an impending disaster. Though hard to believe, there are many who would profit without hesitation upon the miseries of others. A mega-disaster like the BP’s Oil Spill is one of those. Sometimes it is hard to say if a prescribed cure is supposed to make you feel better or improve the bottom line of the one prescribing it. Time will always tell, as it is revealing in the case of the BP Gulf Oil disaster.

Just as it would be highly improper for surgeons to mislead on the medical procedures, BP the “doctor” should lose its “medical license” and be held criminally liable for deliberate misleading information on so many occasions. Six months later, NOAA and the Presidential Investigative Panel should have been able to evaluate not only the effectiveness of the medicine prescribed but also the manner it was administered. If these regulatory bodies are still sleeping on their job after six months, then either delinquency or corruption has already set in.

By most accounts BP, NOAA and all the regulatory bodies fared poorly in this disaster. Later postings will delve into the technological and geological aspects. In this posting, we will concentrate on the question whether the post-disaster recovery program had become a profitable scam. It goes without saying that BP as an organization would suffer hefty financial losses not monetary gains. That would make it all the more; much “safer” for the privileged few to profit personally. Evidence of profit motives in the post-disaster recovery efforts would substantiate earlier suspicions that this disaster had been allowed to happen.

It is an undeniable fact that corners are cut everyday across the globe in almost every sector of human societies. Of all the industries, the offshore oil industry is the most regulated with the most stringent HSE policies. Hence it is logically impossible for a potential mega disaster to sail through the elaborate screening “Check & Balance” process. Unlike wildcat drillings in the pre-seventies, every location to be drilled had to be evaluated with respect to exploration and production objectives, shallow geohazards, seabed and logistics problems. That is why few mega-disasters occurred even though near-misses and accidents do occur on a daily basis. By all accounts, this disaster could have been averted. Yet it was allowed to happen. Why?

Obviously there must be a profit motive, not for BP but for the PFitK. Having established this fact we will proceed to examine the deliberate misleading information BP has been giving recently. In every post-disaster recovery efforts, there is the right way and the wrong way. No crime is committed even if the wrong (but profitable) way was deliberately chosen. There is no lack of senseless recovery works that can be carried out without contributing anything to the recovery or the welfare of the Gulf Victims (environment, people and marine wildlife). Readers can contribute more examples but for now we concentrate on the high cost items.

Four Drilling Rigs at Site

We can argue until the cows come home on BP’s intentions but does BP really need four expensive rigs at the cost of 0.5 to 1 million USD/day at the Macondo site? Even if they need to drill more wells (relief or otherwise) it would stretch resources to the hilt with 5 wells going together within the same site. But if the intention is to chalk up tax-deductible expenses for the idling rigs then it made sense. No wonder the recovery costs keep ballooning especially in early November with an additional 7.7 billion USD.

Normal exploration budgets are guided by precedence. In a mega disaster, there is virtually no cost control. Would BP exploit the disaster to dump all their idling rigs into the Macondo site? You bet BP will, given its opportunistic instincts. BP’s unfortunate partners (Mitsui and Anadarko) will have to foot 10% and 25% respectively. Few would dare to question the need for four drilling rigs under classified disaster circumstances. Is that why the Live Feed from West Sirius ROV1 is still shown on BP’s website even though West Sirius had moved out of the Macondo site to park at the edge of Mississippi Canyon, south of Grand Isle? Obviously the ROV1 cannot be deployed from West Sirius to work at the Macondo site 165km away. Alternatively if the ROV1 is working at the Mississippi Canyon (for whatever reasons), the daily operation cost of West Sirius cannot be charged to the Macondo Post-Disaster Recovery Program (MPDRP). Any responsible corporate would not cheat and evade tax on an unfortunate disaster.

It would probably look less absurd if West Sirius is sitting within the Macondo Site. It however, moved out less than a week (3 NOV) after an earlier posting (A New Drilling Rig At Macondo Site) questioned the need for 4 drilling rigs to be stationed so close to each other. Drilling rigs normally work in isolation with support vessels. This was strange when Well A was already declared capped in mid July and permanently killed in mid Sept by DD3 at Relief Well C.

There was not much news on DD2 at Relief Well D. Industry’s experts were surprised when BP spared no efforts to drill 2 relief wells when one should be sufficient. Anyone questioning the need for two relief wells in May would have been scorned, if not “executed”in the press. This is the unconstrained purchasing power of any disaster; 911, Afghan War, Iraqi War or any disaster-relief efforts. You question, you die either by character assassination or … !

Anyway it was thought to be a good PR move, to show the world that BP would spare no effort to contain the spill. Those with the “evil thoughts” that BP could be fielding the additional drilling rig to pad up the MPDRP expenses had to hold their tongues and wait to be vindicated. But when the Discovery Enterprise (DE) was added on and all the 3 rigs (DE, DD2 and DD3) did not demobilize from site after the completion of the relief wells, the suspicion firmed up. When the West Sirius moved in, all doubts were erased.

Drilling rigs that do not drill offer many corrupt opportunities. With skeletal maintenance crew and cooperation between the operation managers of BP and contractors, the lure to “capitalize” on operational costs for unused operation workers is just too high to ignore. Even at the minimum average of 500 USD/day/worker for 100 workers works out to be 1,500,000 USD/month per rig. This common scam of fielding virtual workers is undetectable by outside parties except the most diligent accountant / QC consultant.

Materials, consumables and disposable instruments offer abundant opportunities for site managers to cooperate with suppliers to cheat. Besides wastage, the important question is “Are some of the work at site warranted or merely to line up the pocket?” It is virtually impossible to QC the volume needed to grout the seafloor, notwithstanding whether they were effective or necessary. Like virtual workers, the reported amount consumed could actually be more than triple the actual amount used. No wonder contractors, body shops and suppliers laughed their way to the bank and workers paid handsomely with bonuses do not talk.

If anyone has any doubt in this, just look up the drilling rig position at www.marinetraffic.com. For months tracking the drilling rigs’ position was never a problem. A week after A New Drilling Rig At Macondo Site was posted on 31 Oct, the position of these rigs went haywire. DE was flung (virtually) to Lake Superior, DD2 to South Pacific and DD3 to Arctic, Africa and South Pacific. It is hilarious that BP would control www.marinetraffic.com website to adulterate the satellite position. These position anomalies just confirmed the accuracy of this report and our previously reported ROV coordinates adulteration. It also confirms BP’s record spending on buying up websites like The Oil Drum and bloggers so that they speak kindly of BP in spite of BP’s evil deeds. No wonder the main media all over the world speak with one silence voice on BP’s evil ways. Now you understand.

So when BP says “We Are Here To Stay And Make Things Right”, they probably meant it wholeheartedly. Who wouldn’t? With impunity for causing any disaster (Alaska pipeline, Texas Refinery, Macondo and future) life is good for BP in America when they make things right (for themselves).

After the furry of activities at the Macondo site in the last week of October until today at 2am, the Macondo Well Site suddenly becomes quiet and abandoned. The unexpected removal of West Sirius out of the Macondo Site on 2 Nov apparently signaled a sudden 180º change in the direction of operation. The ROV video showing the solitary wellhead with the cap labeled “In Memory of the Deep Water Horizon, 11” and a steady stream of gas bubbles coming out from the southern side of the wellhead, says it all. Is the last rite for the ill-fated Macondo Well for real?

The pictures in the figures speak for themselves. It is a clear admission of defeat.

As if on cue, the presidential Gulf Oil spill panel issued their preliminary findings to absolve BP of blame.

No evidence was found that a conscious decision was made to sacrifice safety in order to save money, the presidential Gulf oil spill panel said in preliminary findings released Monday 8 Nov 2010.

Fred Bartlit, Jr., the panel's chief investigator, said in his presentation to the seven-member oil spill commission that he agreed with about 90 percent of BP's findings, although the company left out some critical details and there were other areas where the panel's probe will conflict.

Examiner.com has reported that the spreading BP oil disaster in the Gulf of Mexico is in fact an intentional 'disaster capitalism' false flag operation for insider profit in the genre of environmental war, and a component of an elite plan to depopulate human society and stop disclosure.

Evidence that the BP Gulf oil catastrophe is a false flag operation includes: (1) "foreshadowing drills" by the U.S. agencies prior to the April 20, 2010 disaster; (2) insider trading of 44% of its BP stock by Goldman Sachs and a related insider corporate takeover of the world's largest oil spill by Halliburton three weeks prior to the oil spill; (3) BP CEO Tony Hayward dumping approximately one-third of his BP stocks one month prior to the Gulf of Mexico oil disaster.

The 2010 BP Gulf of Mexico false flag environmental catastrophe did not occur out of an environmental war policy vacuum. Nine years later, outdated systems to detect fire and leaked gas remain in place at some of BP's largest and most important plants, including the Central Power Station, several drill pads and two flow stations that route oil and gas into the pipeline system.

Many of the detection systems are obsolete - the manufacturers that made them are shuttered - so replacement parts are hard to come by, said Kovac, the mechanic. More important, the systems have to be shut down every time BP conducts maintenance on its facilities and pipelines, because the methods used to scan the equipment for flaws have been known to trigger the ultraviolet detectors that set off the fire and gas alarms.

"When you make a complaint about it, rather than fix it right, they come up with another Band-Aid," said Kris Dye, a BP oil worker and United Steelworkers representative on the North Slope. "It's very frustrating."

As the blame game continues and the truth trickle out little by little, many will be left wondering how the disaster will play out and the imminent threats of future disasters. It is blatantly clear beneath the dog and pony shows, such mega disaster could not have happened if the checks and balances in place had been functioning as they should. It is fortuitous that all of them should expediently fail one after another. More likely, the checks and balances had long been subverted and broken. It is an industry speeding down the highway with its driver drunk with greed and power. If the “drunken speedster” is not stopped in time, the result can only be a big bang when the road runs out.

The answer to the second question is dependent on how the perpetrators of this crime of mass destruction are handled. This disaster was no “unexpected accident”. Anyone who is not blinded by corruption can see that. At the very least BP’s exploration managers knew trouble was brewing and did nothing to avert it. They should be prosecuted for willful negligence.

At worst, with prior knowledge that such environmental disasters are inevitable, BP invested heavily into researching “deplorable means” of harvesting windfalls from such “accidental natural disasters”. Connect the dots behind The-Gulf-Blue-Plague.

Is it morally right to invest millions into searching for a “profitable” cure when a tiny fraction could have been better spent in advancing prevention techniques? Is prevention not better than cure? Although less environmentally friendly and more devastating; the Cure is preferable for its profit potential and numerous windfall opportunities for the privileged few. Prevention on the other hand offers no such windfall opportunities.

Most dirty tricks of insiders’ trading have already been tried out, exposed and prosecuted. As disasters are still perceived to be accidental, no one will be prosecuted for insider’s trading, even though the massive shares sellout by BP’s directors, Goldman Sachs and several more insiders, were unmistakably linked to the privileged few. Unbelievable it may seem, the reported safety lapses and violations, system malfunctions and cost-cutting corners are only a tip of the Safety & Data Fraud Iceberg. Unscrupulous profiteering, corruption, data frauds, falsified calibration, inspection and installation certification are widespread and not only confined to third world countries. The Safety Farce Iceberg has completely engulfed the oil exploration industry. Even professional regulatory bodies and heads of governments dare not stymied their growing power and influence. The BP’s mega oil spill disaster is that arrogant display of corruptive power of giant multinational corporations.

At the end of the day, it is about the corrupted business strangle-hold that is going to tilt the world into an Environmental Armageddon. It is already happening. The recent Toxic Dam Spill in Hungary and BP’s Mega Oil Spill in the Gulf of Mexico are Crimes of Mass Destruction propagated by unscrupulously greedy multinational corporations. It is about the struggle between Good and Evil. It is about the brave few struggling to bring out the truth behind all these mega disasters that is destroying Mother Earth.

Does the world care? Are we fooling ourselves with half measures and deceptions that are meaningless to the survival of this planet? Even after more than 6 months, the world has still not awoken from BP’s hypnotizing deception of capping the wrong well. The capped well (Well A) was drilled down to only 5000ft bml; 13000 ft short of the targeted reservoir. While the world was mesmerized with the pony and dog shows at the wrong well, the actual well (S20BC, 720ft NW of well A) was openly gushing more than 50,000 barrels of oil per day into the gulf. Is the world awake yet?

Sadly, BP is not the only guilty multinational corporation and US is not the only first world country plagued with this problem. Documented evidence of criminally liable unethical practices ranging from falsified calibration reports and certificates, fraudulent authorization of globally banned environmental-hazardous installations to pure data frauds, will be presented to press home the point that the safety violations, defective critical fail-safe equipments, willful negligence and ignorance which surfaced recently in the investigation of BP’s disaster are industry-wide; not the exceptions.

How can oil exploration be safe when international insurance companies, international accreditation organizations and government regulatory authorities in so many countries simply turned a blind eye to such improprieties? Have this safety lapse problem proliferated to the extent that it is already too big to solve. How did these multinationals managed to have such powerful strangleholds on these regulatory authorities? Why must the tail wag the dog?

Contrary to popular beliefs, more regulations do not translate into safer exploration. Being the most heavily regulated industry with stringent HSE standards, does not make it any safer unless enforcement is effective. More regulations mean higher costs, more corruption and cost-cutting opportunities to circumvent difficult to comply regulations. As witnessed in the BP’s disaster, compliance in form but not in spirit is meaningless. The increase in oil exploration costs also means insanely high wages for the industry workers. To avoid being caught in the severe cyclic oil crashes of the mid eighties professionals were taken off permanent employment and offered lucrative short term contracts. These freelance professionals can command from 500 to 5000 USD/day in various field positions. With such lucrative remunerations, it is difficult to go against oil companies or contractor’s vested interests. Safety and environmental considerations were the first to be thrown out the windows.

The high freelance wages also caused an aberration in the remuneration scheme where short-term contract field personnel earn many times more than their long term colleagues doing the same job offshore. As soon as new recruits can learn to walk, they move out of the contractors’ permanent employment to become freelance. Permanent salaried employees like the logistics, operation and technical managers (without their offshore allowances) earned a mere fraction of their freelance employees under their control. For example a senior professional with permanent employment contract in Australia earning AUD100 000 per year, can easily earn that amount in less than 3 months; offshore without tax. In the peak exploration years with oil prices above 50 USD/barrel, most freelancers had no problems finding work in excess of 200 days a year.

After the mid-eighties oil crash, most capable professionals opt to work offshore with the less capable or inexperienced filling in the office managerial positions. In the insane rat race, the price tag becomes the badge of honour. The common joke was; “you must have screwed up to be cooked up in the office”. Smart contractors’ managers formed “close alliances” with their oil companies’ counterparts. It is no secret that many in the oil companies receive lucrative pay-offs from “Body Shops” peddling “offshore professionals”. Some even secretly hold shares under their spouses’ name. With 30 to 60% cut on the daily chargeable rates to the oil companies, it was the sellers’ market especially when oil prices shot beyond 100 USD/day (courtesy of the Peak Oil theory). Greedy offshore professionals were no better than prostitutes, selling themselves directly or through body shops to the highest bidder. Naturally, body shops did their best to sell inexperienced or incompetent professionals since they make the best margins on these unmovable products. The active third world exploration countries (Asia, Africa & Middle East) was choked with incompetent or inexperienced professionals who could not enter the exploration workforce in their own countries for lack of credentials. UK was the biggest exporter of such offshore professionals. Experience, unethical practices and improper training gained from the “rough and tumble” exploration of the wild and poorly regulated third world countries, might not be the best. But it is the numbers and years that count, not the quality.Worse, these unethical practices get transferred back to the first world countries in a process called “Reversed Technology Transfer”.

This unhealthy development is one of the many fundamental reasons for the reckless and aggressive competition among exploration and contractors’ managers in a volatile cyclic industry. It is not surprising short term gains and interests override long term sound and safe judgment. In the dog-eat-dog competition, true professionals who refused to yield their professional integrity were quickly edged out by those who would.

Disasters do not occur on a daily basis not because cut-corners and imprudence are not practiced widely but because more than 80% of the exploration locations are in no immediate danger of any geohazards. In the remaining 20% with some geohazards risks, geohazards disasters might not have ripened for explosion yet. As in the BP’s Macondo blowout, the timing is important rather than the luck. Most however, would not wake up to this realty.

If only special safety attentions are focused on these 20% high geohazards risk areas, it would be almost impossible for any major disaster to be blown out of control from any accidental human errors. This is where independent geohazards assessments can contribute significantly. In the next posting, we will examine how this first line of defence against geohazards disasters had been seriously compromised and monopolized by the world’s largest geohazards survey contractor, Fugro.

With a final shot of cement, BP Plc permanently "killed" its deep-sea well in the Gulf of Mexico that ruptured in April and unleashed the worst oil spill in U.S. history, the top U.S. spill official said on Sunday.

Some 153 days after the Macondo well ruptured, the U.S. government confirmed that BP had succeeded in drilling a relief well nearly 18,000 feet below the ocean surface and permanently sealing the well with cement.

"The Macondo 252 well is effectively dead," retired Coast Guard Admiral Thad Allen, who has overseen the U.S. government's response, said in a statement. "We can now state, definitively, that the Macondo well poses no continuing threat to the Gulf of Mexico."

President Barack Obama, whose public approval ratings were hurt by public discontent over the U.S. government's initial response to the spill, welcomed the long-awaited development as an "important milestone."

Obama said his administration was now focused on making sure the Gulf Coast "recovers fully from this disaster."

BP Confirms Successful Completion of Well Kill Operations in Gulf of Mexico

HOUSTON - BP today confirmed that well kill operations on the MC252 well in the Gulf of Mexico are now complete, with both the casing and annulus of the well sealed by cement.

The MC252 well has been shut-in since July 15 and cementing operations in August, following the static kill, provided an effective cement plug in the well’s casing. The relief well drilled by the DDIII drilling rig intercepted the annulus of the MC252 well on September 15, followed by pumping of cement into the annulus on September 17. BP, the federal government scientific team and the National Incident Commander have now concluded that these operations have also successfully sealed the annulus of the MC252 well.

“This is a significant milestone in the response to the Deepwater Horizon tragedy and is the final step in a complex and unprecedented subsea operation – finally confirming that this well no longer presents a threat to the Gulf of Mexico,” said Tony Hayward, BP group chief executive. “However, there is still more to be done. BP’s commitment to complete our work and restore the damage done to the Gulf of Mexico, the Gulf coast and the livelihoods of the people across the region remains unchanged.”

BP will now proceed to complete the abandonment of the MC252 well, which includes removing portions of the casing and setting cement plugs. A similar plugging and abandonment of both relief wells will occur as well.

BP will also now begin the process of dismantling and recovering containment equipment and decontaminating vessels that were in position at the wellsite.

But is the well really dead? Recent Rov evidences in late October, more than a month after the “well” was supposedly permanently killed and officially declared dead, there are signs that the “dead well” is coming back to life. Our recent postings; Our Worst Fears Of Vaporising Hydrates and the recently detected Gas Oil Plume Next To Well A, point to some of these evidences from Rov videos recorded from 20 -23 Oct 2010.

In this posting, we present evidence of increasing methane concentration and new oil spots on the seafloor. These are conclusive evidences that BP had capped the wrong well and by grouting the faults, they are spreading the oil far and wide with even more disastrous consequences. Figure 127-1 is extracted from youtube.com (hydrate floaters) while figure 127-2 is extracted from youtube (hydrate mole hill).

Although both are recrystallised hydrates, their formation and sources are different. The former is explained in detailed on the figure caption while the second hydrate type was formed when the hot/warm gaseous methane is chilled on contact with the cold water. Both processes are inter-related.

Fig 127-3 to 127-5 show oil seeping out of the seafloor in various modes; obviously affected recently by the intense grouting activities. I shall not go into details but the fact that previous videos did not show oil in these forms suggests that BP had achieved what they had set out to do. By spreading the oil far and wide, it is hoped that these could be argued as natural seeps.

But fig 127-6 takes the cake. The supposedly “dead well” is not only alive, but kicking as well. To blow a crater of that size and depth, the built-up in pressure much be substantial. It could only mean that the grout blocking the escape pathway failed in a violent and sudden manner. If BP’s grout cannot contain the escaping force of the “awaken Genie” which had spread far and wide (over several km radius) from 18,000 ft below, what makes you think BP’s relief well could do the magic just tens of feet from source?
